Mango Salsa

Reviewed: May 14, 2012
Wonderful flavors! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because it didn't taste as good the next day - I think the citrus juice "cooked" the mango and made it a little slimy. But it was AWESOME that first day!

Garlic-Lemon Double Stuffed Chicken

The flavors are amazing. The cheese has a tendency to leak out, so make sure it is wrapped and secured well. I serve this at dinner parties with lightly buttered steamed broccoli and a salad - it has a lot of flavor, so I wouldn't add too much flavor on the veggie side dish.

Thai Chicken Burgers

Great recipe - very juicy burgers, and the sauce is really really good! I had extra thai peanut sauce in my fridge and added to the mix as well.

Shrimp Etouffee II

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2011
I couldn't bring myself to microwave shrimp, so I did everything in a pan. It was bland and I added a lot of spice. It still just tasted like cream of chicken soup with spices in it. I only gave it two stars because I ate a few servings because i didn't want to waste the shrimp.

Christmas Wreaths

Hard to shape into wreaths, but they are cute when you do. Wet your hands with water and let the marshmallow cool a bit before attempting to form them. Very impressive as part of a gift cookie pack.

Asian Orange Chicken

Ridiculously good. Tastes like gourmet Chinese food (it could have come from PF Changs!) Make sure you shake of the extra flour, and then cook until the coating is crispy. Not recommended for reheating. I served it with white rice, and sugar snap peas with sesame seeds & olive oil.

Apple Spice Rice

I made this for a Halloween dinner party. My guests went crazy. They all asked for the recipe. I used a mixed wild rice instead of white. I think it gave it the extra texture it needed to MAKE this dish.

Perfect Eggs! Just a tip ... Fresh eggs are harder to peel, so buy the eggs a couple of days before you plan on using them.

Dirty Martini Cheese Spread

I was not a fan. It had a really strong vodka aftertaste. I didn't even bring it to the party.

Black Bean And Corn Salad II

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2009
I am requested to make this at every party, BBQ, birthday, etc. I don't measure the veggies. I probably add more corn that mentioned. I mix everything and let it sit for a few hours before serving, adding the avocado & cilantro right at the end so it tastes fresh. This is seriously good. I have also used it on tacos, and I grilled chicken.

Butternut and Apple Harvest Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2008
This recipe is absolutely amazing! I added about 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, which really livened it up. I am also going to try to roast the squash next time, just to add a little more flavor. I am using it as a first course for my fall dinner party!

Barbequed Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: May 29, 2008
This was awesome. My grandmother even said "You HAVE to make this again!" I served it with red potatoes tossed with olive oil and herbs (done on the grill in tin foil), and an basic tossed salad.
