too many cooks in the kitchen

Let me tell you I am living proof that the phrase, "too many cooks in the kitchen" is a very real problem.   With classes of sometimes 30 students in 4 kitchens it is easy to feel like there are a few too many cooks in the kitchen..... probably because there ARE!    We (my fellow cooking instructors and I) have devised a job system.   This makes me a bit jealous when I am cooking at home and have to do ALL the jobs.   oh well.    It seems to work pretty well but i was curious if anyone out there has any experience in a situation like this that could pass on some advice for how to make this work smoothly.

I'd love to know how to work it smoothly too! I can't be in the kitchen at the same time as my husband; I can't imagine 30 students!!

a lemon asparagus dish ... i guess i wasnt keeping track of much and ended up with asparagus that was so tart and lemony that it felt like my face would turn inside out when biting in to it. Oh, and this was for a valentines day meal.
