Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2007
I think this recipe was good but the sauce needed a little something. I cooked on low but I think I will take the advice of others and add the peppers at a later time.

Cabbage Rolls III

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2007
These rolls were pretty tasty. I made them for an octoberfest party and everyone seemed to like them. I added a little fresh dill to give it a little more flavor. I had a little trouble getting the inner leaves off in one piece. I will try to freeze them next time like someone else suggested.

Pork Chops with Stuffing

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2007
I only cooked my pork chops for 25 minutes and they were very dried out. Perhaps next time I may add a little water to the pan or maybe some milk to the soup to make it a little creamier. If I try it again

Lazygirl's Ground Turkey Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2007
It was pretty good easy meal. i had to make some changes due to what I had on hand. I used lean ground beef and omitted the bouilion. I also added corn to kind of stretch the meal. I would definately try it again with the proper ingredients.

Creamy Spiced Coleslaw

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2007
This was a delicious and easy recipe! I made it for a bbq and it went so quickly. I didn't have any celery powder on hand so I used a chip dip seasoning powder that I had instead. I will definately keep this in my bbq rotation.

Cucumber and Dill Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2007
I made this for a bbq and the sour cream was so overpowering. I had doubled the recipe so maybe the scaling was off, but this is definately not something I would make again.

Roasted Beets and Sauteed Beet Greens

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2007
I used this recipe for the beet greens b/c I had already made the beet roots. I omitted the garlic because I ran out so I used garlic salt instead. I also added a little chopped chives at the end since i had them on hand. This a was a very simple and delicious recipe. It felt good not wasting any part of the produce!

Garlicky Beet Delight

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2007
I boiled the beets about 30 minutes until they were tender enough to pierce with a fork. I cooled them in the fridge and added a little white wine vinegar, olive oil and crumbled blue cheese. It was a nice summer salad. I think next time I would definately let in chill in the fridge for a couple of hours.

Grilled Chicken Quesadillas

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2007
This was very good. I had some minor changes. I didn't have adobo so I used taco seasoning instead, I skipped the olives and added cooked bacon instead. The tortilla's I bought were too big and were a little difficult to manuever on the bbq. I will definately add this to my bbq rotation.

Roast Leg of Lamb with Rosemary

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2007
This was a delicious leg of lamb. I read the other reviews and roasted at 400 for 20 minutes and then reduced the heat to 375 for the remainder. I also added the balsamic vinegar as others had suggested. The meat was delicious and tender. I will definately make it again and again.

Very delicious and easy recipe. I would only make it for holiday because it was a little too much oil and butter for everyday. It was a big hit with all my guests.

Pork Chops for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2007
Very flavorful sauce. I omitted the ginger because I did have any in the house. I added a couple of tablespoons of honey and a splash of orange juice. I also added thinly sliced onions. The pork chops were a little dry..I think I will use a thicker piece of meat next time.
