About this Cook
I grew up with a mom who never seasoned food. She baked her steaks and porkchops with zero seasoning, not even some salt in a 9x13 pan covered with foil for 1 hour in a 350 degree oven. I used to have to drown my steak in Worchestershire sause and my chops in applesauce. Because of this, I had to re-vamp recipes to make them perfect. I have been making dinners for our family since age 11 so I have learned many things (especially about seasonings) I am very picky and know good food. My sister and I were baking by the age of 10 and I still love to bake. I
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook a large variety of cultural foods. I would have to say South American cuisine and Polynesian are my two favorite types of food to cook.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well, my family I have with my husband, is different than the way I grew up. We have special dishes we like to make, mainly from Uruguay and Argentina.
My cooking triumphs
My spinach lasagna. Even people who hate spinach love this dish. I have never had a negative response so I would have to choose this dish.
My cooking tragedies
One Thanksgiving, I made the stuffing, stuffed the turkey and seasoned it, as the oven was pre-heating I was excited about the whole meal I had planned. I went to put the turkey in the oven and the oven was still cold. The heating element had broken. The worst part was that all the restaraunts with Thanksgiving type foods were so booked that we all had to eat at an Italian restaraunt that year.

Irresistible Irish Soda Bread
It was good, did not put any raisins or currants in it. I've been looking for a recipe that copycats an Irish Pub in Tacoma, WA called Paddy Coynes, this is close in flavor. My sons like it and that is a compliment. A bit dry compared to what I've had before but best internet recipe yet... Will make again!

Spooky Witches' Fingers
I made these, they looked really creapy being pale. I put slits in the and filled them with red gel so they looked bloodier. But then when people tasted them (after saying ew) they loved them. The taste INCREDIBLE. A hit I now have to make every year! Thank you!
