Christmas Pinwheel Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
I personally had a very difficult time with these cookies... I made the dough - put it in the fridge - took it out and rolled it - put it back in the fridge - took it out stacked on on the other and rolled it and then put it back in overnight... the dough gets very warm very quickly and I had a hard time cutting the cookies. you tend to squish the design on the cookie when you cut them. I even tried freezing the log... If you are any kind of a perfectionist - I don't think this is the right cookie for you. Taste like tea cake cookies. bakes up really light and crispy on the edges - not too sweet...

Melt in your Mouth Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
These cookies are delicious. The only problem that I had was with the icing. This combination does not harden. Add one teaspoon of corn syrup and I am told that will fix the problem. Cookies are not nearly as good without the icing but they do taste a like pecan sandies. I tried the cream cheese in the icing and that does add a nice flavor... *** UPDATE I made these cookies again last night and thought that I would roll the dough with flour on my hands and make them look nicer... what I got was a perfectly round cookie with a big dot of icing in the middle... The icing did harden but I left the cream cheese out and like it better with the extra flavor. The cookies tasted to floury also last night... They are definitely better if you go by the recipe and don't roll them into balls (I put a dent in the middle to hold the icing nice and neat but it works better if you just let them take their own shape!) I would suggest going by the original recipe (or adding pecans which makes them even more wonderful) and letting them cool before you put the icing on and don't make the icing to thin... I also made mine really dark green for Christmas but they look better a little more pastel colored...

Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
I thought this recipe was ok - Mine turned out a little bit grainy - I cooked according to directions but maybe should have gone a little bit longer to get rid of the sugar texture.. VERY VERY easy but not sure if I will make them again.

Great Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2007
I just made this recipe for the first time and I am crazy about the flavor. I marinated mine for 24 hours. Has almost a smoked flavor or something. Yum Yum Yum! LOVED IT!!!

This recipe is very simple but wonderful... I made it with Crackers instead of Cornflakes and everyone in my office raved about it! I am going to try the cornflakes next time. A+ recipe in my book!!!
