No Bake Chocolate Oat Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2009
Excellent recipe! I used 1/2 cup of butter but the oats were staying dry and crumbly. So I added 2-3 tbsp water and cooked it for much longer following other reviews. I added about 1/4th cup peanut butter towards the end. This mixture was very tasty but felt oily and I might try reducing the butter and increasing the water a bit more.

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2013
I used packed cups of carrots, 1/3rd cup crushed drained pineapple, 1/3rd cup raisins soaked in pineapple juice, 3/4th cup oil + 1/2 cup applesauce, 1cup brown sugar 1 cup white sugar. I used two round pans + a loaf pan for baking. My cake broke when I cooked it till just set in the center, but if I let it go for a bit longer, it does not break.

Cranberry Nut Bread I

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2011
Amazing!! I used 1 1/2 cups of cranberries and 2/3 cups of walnut and 1 cup of sugar (because I was worried about tartness due to extra cranberries). Kept the rest same. I chopped the cranberries and walnuts in the food processor. They were fairly finely chopped. Will be making it again soon!

I added small bits of chicken and some amount of barley to it. Took a lot longer to cook but the results were fantastic.

I would give 10 stars if possible. I used fresh garlic which I think was not a good idea. Next time I will use garlic powder.

I added 1 tsp vanilla, 1/2c walnuts, 1/2c chocolate chips. Add more brown sugar if your bananas are not over ripe. Very very tasty!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2010
The best pulled pork we've ever tasted!! We used Boston Butt and Mug root beer. We used lot more of the root beer than suggested since we wanted to cover the meat pieces. We cooked it in the slow cooker on low setting for 8 hours. The meat was moist and flavorful! After draining the fat and liquid off, pulling the pork we added around 6 ounces of Hunt's BBQ sauce and cooked in slow cooker (low) for another 30 mins. It was delicious!!!

Simple White Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2015
I have tried using 2/3rd cup sugar instead of 1cup. Still sweet enough - probably can reduce further. I have tried a little less butter than 1/2 cup (around 1tbsp less) and it worked out just fine. Can add orange/lemon zest for added flavor.
