Low-Fat Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
I did not care for this recipe. My hubby LOVES muffins & sweets, but he ate one bite of these & made a face & wouldn't finish it ... They were SUPER sticky to the touch, chewy, & REEEEEALLY sweet...TOO sweet! I will NOT be making these ever again! Pretty big disappointment ... :(

Almond Poppy Seed Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2007
I've made these bars SEVERAL times, (mostly for potlucks!), & they are ALWAYS a hit!!! ALWAYS! I HAVE found though, that if you make them 2 or 3 days ahead of time, the frosting will run, & become pretty watery...so, these are best made only ONE day before you are going to need them! I originally got this recipe out of a magazine, but this is the same one! Thanks for posting!

We loved these!! Just a tad bit too sweet! Wouldn't hurt to cut the amount of chocolate chips in half!!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

I will NEVER EVER make these again! EVER! They were SO incredibly soft that they practically stuck to the pan, & then I froze them, but they all stuck together because they were so soft! UGGGGGGGGGGGGH! BIG BIG MISTAKE of a recipe! NO THANKS!

Giant Ding Dong Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2008
This was a BIG hit w/ everyone I shared it with!! I rated it 4 stars because it is reeeeeally hard to spread warm icing along the sides of this cake...I mean, HELLO?!?! How can you spread RUNNY icing?! I think the directions should've been different for this part. But other than that, it is FABULOUS!! :) You won't be disappointed you tried it!

Doubly Delicious Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2007
This recipe is THE BOMB for peanut butter cookies! WOOOOOOOOOOW!!! I made them exactly like the recipe called for, except that I substitued a bag of milk chocolate/peanut butter swirled chips instead of plain peanut butter chips. SUPER YUMMY! Also, I would probably use butter next time instead of shortening. I prefer a softer cookie, as opposed to crispier. I would recommend to ALL!!!

Can't Tell They're Low-fat Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2007
These were moreso on the "nasty" side...:( I was disappointed!!! I thought from reading the reviews, that these would taste MUCH better than what they did! :( I doubled the batch, & put it in a 9x13 pan. I used 1/2 c. Eggbeaters, 2 whole eggs, & instead of TWO jars of prunes, I used 1 jar of prunes, & 1 jar of peaches (what I had on hand). I think I'll just stick to my higher-fat version, & eat a smaller piece from now on! These weren't worth the 111 calories to me!!! (30 brownies) I made these to take to a fish fry where most of the ppl are on diets, but I will not be bringing them! I'm embarrased! (*_*)

Caramel Brownies II

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2007
AWESOME AWESOME brownies!!! The BEST! I got sooooo many compliments of these, & was asked to make them again! I left out the chocolate chips, because I thought it would make them too rich, but I actually MAY try them WITH them next time! I think it would help them to set up better, although they were STILL VERY tasty withOUT the chips!!! YUMMY YUMMY recipe! RECOMMEND IT TO ALL!!!!!!

Chocolate Fudge Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2010
This frosting was "ok". Definitely nothing to write home about. To me, it tasted just like canned frosting. I personally think they need to delete the world "buttercream" out of the title, because you can barely taste the butter after adding everything else to it. YES, it is a good frosting, but nothing spectacular, or "over-the-top". If I would have known this ahead of time, I could've saved some VERY precious time & just used a can of milk chocolate frosting.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: May 22, 2007
This was a FABULOUS recipe!!! I took the advice of others, & used 1 cup of brown sugar, instead of just 3/4 cup. However, it made this bread a little tooooo sweet, & I am a sweet-addict, so for me to say it was too sweet...well, let's just say, it was TOO sweet! And, I only used 5 bananas. I added a little over 1/2 cup of miniature chocolate chips to it too, & that added extra sweetness as well. I, for one, didn't feel like it was "lacking" something, like so many others felt. It was GREAT! :) I will DEFINITELY make this banana bread again!
