Dilled Green Beans

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2010
A surprisingly delicious dish. I used fresh dill from our garden. Garlic in green beans was a new concept for me, and I wasn't sure about the eggs, but the flavors all blended well together. The only thing I did different was to lightly saute the onion and garlic in the butter, then add the fresh green beans, stir together and cover. I turned up the heat a little, and occasionally stirred until crisp tender, adding the dill and chopped eggs at the very end.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

I made this for our church Olympic Chili Cookoff. It was awesome--and I won the gold medal!!! I used a hot spicy sausage from Sam's Club and followed the recipe as closely as I could. Great recipe, Mighty Purdue! We are in Duke Country here, but loved the recipe anyway.

Shrimp Scampi IV

Reviewed: May 6, 2008
Loved it! I used the amount of butter and wine called for in the recipe, but didn't have green onions so used about half a cup of chopped yellow onion instead. We love onions, so were delighted at how the onions carmelized as they broiled along with the shrimp. Delicious.

Asparagus Ham Fettuccine

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2007
My husband and I both loved this recipe. It is very easy to prepare, colorful, and above all, delicious. The sage added a perfect complement to the ham and asparagus, and the walnuts added crunch. I can't wait to serve it to company!

Mimi's Curried Hawaiian Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2007
I made this for a baby shower and everyone absolutely raved about it. I did not change a single ingredient (except for using red grapes instead of green) and think this is the way I will make curried chicken salad from now on. I make curried chicken salad every summer and have tried many different recipes but this is by far my favorite!

Ham 'n' Cheese Egg Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2007
Delicious! Served at a women's group and everyone wanted the recipe. I had no cheddar cheese so used all low fat mozarella and it was great. So many baked egg casseroles use bread as a filler, but this doesn't. On my diabetic diet I can eat it without worrying about extra bread.

Chicken with Red Grapes And Mushrooms

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2007
Ugh! I don't know if I did something wrong, but the red wine made the chicken a horrible color. My husband saw it cooking and asked what kind of meat it was--beef? The taste was okay, but the looks put us both off. We ate it but both agreed it was not a keeper.
