Ibby's Grasshopper Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2010
Made the recipe exactly as originally written. The only thing I added: before freezing, I pushed whole Oreos into the top and made a pretty design. I just wanted to use the extra cookies left over from the crust...and I think it did a nice job of adding a bit more chocolate flavor.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2011
This is really great! Don't use diet soda, make sure you get a good quality root beer made with real sugar. I used a can from Whole Foods. You really can't go wrong with this recipe. I made it exactly as described, except I added some seasonings like pepper. Very delicious.

doubled the sauce, mushrooms, used beef broth and exchanged the cream cheese for sour cream per other reader's suggestions. You MUST use golden mushroom soup. Absolutely delicious!

Gingerbread Men

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
Made the best gingerbread cookies I have ever had. Made it more than twice each season because people were eating them up--more that one person mentioned they "hated gingerbread" but these cookies were fantastic. The dough was easy to work with. I used generic unsulphored molasses, too!

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2010
I make these at Christmas every year. They are always a hit! Use a spoon to coat the truffles, and definitely chill them first.

Cream Cheese Pound Cake III

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2011
I made this for thanksgiving and topped it with a vanilla glaze. My guests loved it; it's very rich and dense. The next time, I'll add a flavor, perhaps a bit of lemon or orange zest. It's delicious and is excellent fare for a special occasion.

Chocolate, Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2010
I made this twice. The first time,I followed the directions here, exactly; however, the outside was a bit overdone. The second time, I reduced the heat to 325 degrees halfway through. Baked 15 min extra. Be careful not to over-bake. Topped both times with Smuckers chocolate hot fudge ice cream topping, and large candy sprinkles for color. Everyone LOVED this.

I found this recipe flavorful and delicious; however, I substituted green bell peppers instead of the celery. It was fantastic! Good slow cooker recipe!

Antipasto Platter

Reviewed: May 4, 2010
Made this for a BIG party! Took a while to get all the ingredients at the deli and people were rather surprised at the huge platter of meat and cheese, but everyone loved it. Only downfall is, if you get all the ingredients in the proper quantity and high quality as per the recipe, it does get rather expensive.

Made these, and they did not last! Everyone gobbled them up. Two of my favorites, chocolate and pumpkin, married at last into a lovely cookie. Delicious!

Parmesan Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
Excellent! The key is to use real butter and high-quality Parmesan cheese (not the cheap canned kind, which is less flavorful.) If you do this it will not be bland. Made a few times; the second time I added garlic, which was wonderful tasting. Made with slow cooker pot roast and also as a side to oven fried chicken. Received many compliments.
