Easiest Ever Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2010
A little bit bland, but it was definitely easy and if you make it with whole grain noodles, more healthy than the powdered-box kind.

Foolproof Rib Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
This did not work out for me AT ALL. I took a leap of faith and followed the directions to a T, even though I was super nervous. The only thing I did differently was turn the heat to 400 both ends of cooking rather than 375 (again, was nervous!). My roast was so horribly RAW (not even rare) in the middle that there was no way I could serve it ... I put it back into the oven for another 40 minutes .... STILL way too rare (and don't get me wrong, I like a good rare piece of Prime Rib!). Dinner was 2 hours late! :( Plus, even once I did get it cooked enough, it was bland. I was so bummed -- that meat was super expensive and I was not happy that this is what I served to my guests at Christmas! :(

Coconut Macaroons

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
These tasted ok, but gosh were they hard to work with. No matter what I tried, I couldn't get them off the sheet without ruining the shape. Not sure I'd make these again.

Creamy Mushroom Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2009
This was pretty tasty! I added a can of (drained) diced tomatoes and some (pre-cooked) italian sausage (actually turkey sausage b/c that's what we prefer) and it made an awesome meal.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
Really don't see what all the fuss is for. It's good, but it wasn't spectacular or anything... Didn't win me anything at my bake-off :-( But still, a nice enough cake for a like a church pot luck or something.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2006
These really are fantastic cookies!!! I made a bunch of different varations on it last year, too! Try peanut butter choc chip ones by decreasing butter 1/2 c. and replacing with a scoop of pb. Also, (my favs!) Banana nut cookies - use banana flavored pudding and just walnuts... OH YUM!!!! Make sure you use unsalted butter for best results!!
