I don't like subjective words in a recipe. Thinly sliced- I had no idea how thin that should be so I slivered it. That was a lesson learned. I tried to "sweat" the slivers but that was insane. LOL. I should have peeled the eggplant but my mom always used the the skin in her dishes. A LOT of work, part of it my fault. In the end, it looked and smelled so good and my husband and I liked it. Only 2 of our 3 children ate it. I will try this again because it was good but next time, I WILL FOLLOW THE RECIPE, skip the sea salt recommendation (just peel the eggplant), cut the slices ~1/4 in. thick, and only use 2 smaller eggplants (3 was too much).
