Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies II

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2006
I just tried this about 2 weeks ago and I have already made it 3 times! Once for work and twice for my family. I love it and have tried dark chocolate chunks which makes it even better. Plus they are soft and chewy. I love it!

Soft Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2011
Followed another users suggestion to bake for 8 minutes to get the softest results. And did have to flatten a little. CAME OUT PERFECT!! Thanks...didn't last the night.

Hasty Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
Super easy! Added a pat of butter and tiny bit of salt as suggested. I did begin to worry when after 4 mins my pudding wasn't thick at all. I was using a very heavy earthenware bowl and needed to go for a total of 6 minutes. Turned out great the only problem is waiting for it to cool!

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2010
Recipe turned out great even after I had to substitue a few ingredients. I didn't have sour cream so I added 1/4 of water before folding in the bananas. I also didn't have enough butter so I added enough vegetable oil to make 1/2 cup. I also used half brown sugar and half white then added 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon and baked in a muffin pan for about 20 mins. Very moist!

Peanut Butter Cookies IV

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2009
LOVED THESE COOKIES! I made them with butter flavored crisco instead of butter because I didn't want to wait for it to come to room temp. I also shortened the cooking time to 9 mins. They stayed soft and were almost gone within 24 hrs!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2009
The perfect kick off to the fall season! I have made this bread a few times and it's a no fail, wonderful autumn or holiday bread. I didn't change a thing except the size of the loaf pans. I used 2 larger pans and baked them a little longer. Next time I'll try the healthier version made with apple sauce. Thanks for the great recipe.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2009
Great recipe. I cut the recipe in half and it still worked out great. The cookies hold up well without being too "hard". They spread only slightly and keep thier shape.

Absolutely the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2008
I have made these cookies several times since finding the recipe last fall. They stay soft for days! Tip - do not substitue butter for the shortening. The shortening keeps the cookies soft and keeps them from spreading out when baking. LOVE THEM!!

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2009
Cookies were soft but not as flavorful as I would have liked and were a little flat. Next time I'll add a little more spice to them. Good recipe.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
Good cookie! I adjusted the spices by reducing the amount of cloves and adding a dash of nutmeg. I also used butter flavored crisco because it was what I had in the pantry. Cookies were soft and flavorful but seemed a little flat after cooling. I even extended the cooking time to 11 mins. Overall a good recipe and something I will try again durring the holidays.

Grandma's Gingersnap Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2013
Recipe was for a good chewy cookie. I didn't taste much ginger but mine had been in the pantry a while. My daughter (who doesn't like ginger) loved these cookies she couldn't stop eating them. They aren't like the hard crunchy cookie you get in the box. I like the soft ones better but I would have liked it with a little more spice.

Rich Chocolate Brownies

Brownies were good hot from the oven but I think they dried out very quickly. I added swirls of peanut butter and my husband really liked them. He finished the plate.

Banana Bread I

Reviewed: May 4, 2010
Gave 4 stars because I changed a few things. But overall great recipe. I added 1tsp of Cinnamon, 1/4 cup of veg. oil, 1 tsp. of vanilla, 1/2 tsp. baking powder and did not add salt because baking soda was salty enough. It made 15 muffins, baked at 375 for 12-14 minutes. I also added crunch topping ...1/2 cup sugar, 1/3 cup flour, 1/4 cup butter, 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon mixed into small pieces like oatmeal and sprinkled over the filled muffin tins.

Best Yet Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2010
Gave 4 stars only because I felt like I needed to add alot to it. I added one small onion, a clove of garlic, 1/2 tsp. smoked paprika, 1 small can tomato sauce and I used used frozen sweet corn in place of canned. I omitted the bell pepper and cinnamon. I also drained the black beans. My husband likes sweet chili so I added 1 tsp of sugar and some salt and pepper to taste. After the revisions I'd give it 5 stars. Served with tortilla chips and a little sour cream. Over all good base recipe. Thanks!
