Piggies (Sugar and Cinnamon Pie Dough Cookies)

I had forgotten about these cinnamon cookies until I saw this recipe. My grandmother used to make these for me when I was a little girl from scrapes of pie crust and biscuit dough. I will make some tomorrow.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

I have been making beef roast like this since the crock pot came out in the early 1970's. You can use the same metod in the oven baked in a baking bag and get the same results. Everyone loves this.

Creamy Lemon Pie

This is one of my favorite pies. Learned how to make this in home ec (50 years ago) in high school, only we used vanilla wafers for the crust. Still use when I need a quick and delicious dessert.

Grandma's Old Fashioned Tea Cakes

This is the recipe I have been looking for for 50 years. My grandmother used to make these when I was growing up, except during WWII she used lard instead of butter. I had forgoten the recipe and as soon as I saw this I know it was the one. Thanks a million.

Italian Herb Bread II

Great bread recipe. Made on dough cycle in bread machine and baked in a circle in oven at 375 deg. Have made three loaves since I found this last week. One of my DH favorites.

Italian Cream Cake II

I have made this cake twice. Turned out perfect each time. My DH loves it and it is now his most requested cake. Didn't change a thing about the recipe. I added chopped pecans to the frosting and put both pecans and coconut in the batter.

Tried this last week using my bread machine on dough setting. Best bread I have ever made in my bread machine. Brushed tops of loaves with butter before baking. Delicious, Made this last week. Southern Potato Salad

I have made potato salad like this all my 50 years of cooking as my mother and grandmother before me. Must be a southern recipe only. I add just about l tblsp. cider vinegar and a tblspn of sugar when mixing. Seems to improve the flavor. Garnish top with sliced boiled eggs sprinkled with paparika. All the northerners in my family request this dish for all family get to gathers.

German Pancake

I found this recipe in USA Weekend and tried it for breakfast. Neither me or my husband had ever eaten or heard of German pancakes and absolutely loved it. I did not make the syrup because it didn't sound good to him, so we used pancake syrup. Have made several times since then, and we both can eat the whole thing,so I would suggest increasing the ingredients for a larger family. Tip, spray pan before putting in butter because mine stuck the time I forgot to spray.

Savory Roasted Chicken

I made this chicken recipe for dinner tonight. It was the best roast chicken I have ever made in my entire life. Just wish I had had some film for my camera so I could have taken a picture of it. That is how good it looked and tasted.
