About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Spaghetti and the Southern favorite, meat, rice, & gravy
My favorite family cooking traditions
My all time favorite is my uncle's three meat gumbo. Chicken, sausage, and beef stew meat along with potatoes in a well seasoned gumbo. I also loved my grandmother's sweet potato pie and my great aunt's beef and vegetable soup.
My cooking triumphs
I recently made a successful attempt to duplicate my great aunt's beef a veggie soup.
My cooking tragedies
I haven't had a tragedie, yet.

Bacon Wrapped Hamburgers
this is definitely going into my recipe box. my girlfriend and I just finished eating them, and they were wonderful. I followed the recipe exactly with the exception of the Parmesan cheese, which i didn't have. I topped it with mayo, lettuce, and a slice of American cheese and served them with a side of french fries. Talk about a juicy burger. We ate 2 each and managed to save 1 each for later. I make burgers often, being that its quick and easy and i'm on a college student's budget, but these are by far the best burgers i have eaten to this day. I wasn't able to grill them though, so I baked them in the oven on 350 for about 20 minutes. I will try the grill as soon as time permits. Thanks for this excellent recipe.
