My favorite things to cook
Most of my meals are simple but hearty. Canning and freezing are a new-found love and hobby, made with local and/or organic veggies too! Baking is fun, when I can fit it into my schedule.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Lasagna, although I do not make it often.
Soups and stews are my favorite in the fall and winter months.
My cooking triumphs
I am at one with my slow cooker most times. A hearty stew or soup always makes me feel like I have done something special for my family. I am proud of my pasta sauce and stir frys as well.
My cooking tragedies
Once I made a kale and spinach soup that ended up tasting like a big pot of lawn. I froze most of it but never could bring myself to dethaw it and eat it again. I've been kind of off of kale ever since :)
