Slow Cooker Spicy Black-Eyed Peas

OUTSTANDING!!! This was the BEST tasting "beans" I've ever eaten, with just a touch of spicy! I made it for New Years Day (for good luck & wealth) - made a 1/2 batch. I've already eaten 3 small bowls. I made this exactly as the recipe said and would not change a thing. Mmmmm.... going for another bowl!!!

Bolognese Sauce

I made this tonight and did not change a thing. I thought it was great. I cut the recipe in half (it's just me & my husband), and there's still plenty for another leftover dinner for us both. Surprisingly... my husband said he did NOT like the bacon!!! Whaaat??? I disagree and will make it again WITH the bacon. I used baby bow-tie pasta (Barilla Piccolini). Great recipe. Would have been better with some grated parmesan!

Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

I kicked it up a bit by adding a little Italian sausage to the ground beef, and extra seasonings. I also cooked them in the slow cooker (great). They were a little "loose" right from the crock, but the left overs -- after being refrigerated -- WOW! They were much much better the second night -- they firmed up very nicely and stayed more together after reheating in the microwave. Huge sucess - can't wait to make them again. Also used 2 cans of tomato soup like several recommended.

German Potato Pancakes

These were AWESOME! These were the real deal -- REAL authentic potato pancakes! I was a bit worried about the excess liquid from the shredded potatoes, but I just drain and continued with the recipe. My potatoes were rather large, so I think next time I'll double the onions! Thank you for such a wonder (AND EASY) recipe!

Praline Sweet Potatoes

This recipe has been mine for several years (varied slightly -- I used drained canned yams)! This is a family and work pot-luck favorite and I ALWAYS have dozens of requests for my recipe -- every single year! My daughter even makes it throughout the year -- not just during the holidays. If you don't like yams.... just try this! I promise you'll LOVE it.

Forgotten Kisses

Rosemarie! These are WONDERFUL! Sooo light & airy! Almost too sweet with the chocolate chips though. They are great. Divinity Cookies

Slow Cooker Taco Soup

This was great! Very inexpensive and the entire family loved it. Almost like chili. I doubled the recipe and froze half of it for a later date. Highly recommended! Yummm!

Bill's Blue Cheese Dressing

This is by far the BEST bleu cheese dressing. Been making this exact recipe myself for years (came from my Uncle Dave -- I thought he originated it). If you like bleu cheese - YOU'LL LOVE THIS!!! Can be stinky though! LOL

Banana Nut Bread Baked in a Jar

Well, this was my first time at canning anything. What a wonderful idea for gift giving! I actually used my own banana bread recipe though. The ladies at work insisted I bring in a jar because they had never heard of "bread in a jar"! Love it! Thank you!
