Maple Apple Cream Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2006
Excellent twist on apple pie--rich but good. Just use a deep dish pie plate, mine was over flowing in a regular one. --Fellow Northern Wisconsiner

Blueberry Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: May 30, 2009
fabulous. I throw in a mashed banana and decrease the oil to 1/2 c. I use frozen blueberries all the time and it turns out wonderful! Just as good with frozen raspberries. I have tried it with loaf pans, jumbo muffins and mini muffins, but the loaf is still the best way.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: May 30, 2009
Must use golden mushroom, and I throw in whole portabella's at the start, cook on low for 10 hours and at the end, I throw in a block of cream cheese while the noodles are boiling. My PICKY husband could eat this every night and I have started to double the recipe so we have leftovers.

The best I have ever found, mimics an Italian restaurant....better yet with homemade canned tomatoes and sauce!

Cinnamon and Lime Chicken Fajitas

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2010
Great. I baked the breasts in a little lime juice so they didn't dry out, make extra potatoes, they were the best. A picky 7 yr old and an even picky-er 3 yr old DEVOURED these. Will make them again!

Tex-Mex Quinoa Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2010
I also added V8 and fresh tomatoes for my new gluten and dairy free diet. This was really good-can't complain and I dipped my tortilla chips in it.

Oven Pot Roast

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2010
WOW, great recipe. I used someone elses suggestion of deglazing the pan with wine, and then mixed the soup in to combine, before pouring over the meat. I used chuck roast and its is one of the best meals I ever made.

Apricot Chicken I

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
This is a SUPER easy way to please a picky husband and kids (4&8). Sounds like a strange combo of ingredients, but just let them try it and don't tell them whats in it. Went well with a spinach salad and broccoli from the freezer. Thanks Shirley! This could be even easier in the crockpot I bet.

Maryann's Upside Down Rhubarb Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2011
Awesome. Use a butter recipe golden cake mix and about 5 cups of rhubarb, cut sugar to 3/4 c and sprinkled 2T red strawberry jello powder over top of cake when I dumped it all together. Took about 45 min to bake but it was great for a summer picnic! My 5 yr old could make this its so easy!

Sweet Blackberry and Brandy Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2011
I used a frozen berry mix from Sam's Club-blackberry, raspberry & blueberry and threw in some frost bitten raspberries we picked last year. It was phenomenal. I swapped Licor 43 (vanilla liquer) for the brandy only because I didn't have any and it was amazing over angel food. Great way to use up berries from the freezer!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

OMG, this is awesome. I had fresh pressed apple cider on hand, so I swapped this for the water and swapped white sugar for maple syrup. It was awesome!

BBQ Chicken Pizza I

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2012
Excellent. Used a Pillsbury pizza crust in a 12x15 pan, pre-baked for 8 min. We used Sweet Baby Ray's honey sauce and it had the perfect taste with the other ingredients.

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2013
Must saute garlic, celery, mushrooms & onions to give it flavor as the chicken is pretty bland. I made a double batch as long as I was trashing the kitchen and used the Amish thicker egg noodles, tossed it all together and froze it, crackers and all on top. It was excellent to pull out and bake on another hockey night at our house! I would make this for new mom's too!
