This is a good basic healthy recipe. I will make it again.

Creamy Italian White Bean Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2012
This is a healthy and simple soup that you can easily modify to suit your taste. I added more spices than it called for, as I think it would be pretty bland as written.

Easy Frozen Margaritas

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2011
Very easy and good. These are just the right amount of sweetness. I used Triple Sec, instead of Cointreau, since the Cointreau is so expensive. They are so simple to whip up for a gathering!

Tabbouleh II

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2010
This turned out just like I wanted it to. I would be careful with the ingredients, though. I used tomatoes that were a little smaller than romas, and it turned out right. 5 large, regular tomatoes would be way too much. Use your best judgement. I used green onions. I chopped all the vegetables and herbs in the food processor, so it was all very fine.

Blueberry Oat Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2010
These were good, but I think I will follow some of the suggestions next time. They need something a little extra, I like the cinnamon idea. I also thought they didn't need quite as much sugar as it called for.

Cilantro Tabouli

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2010
I thought this was tasty, but wasn't exactly what I had in mind. The ratio of bulgur to the other ingredients was too much. It seemed like more of a bulgur salad, as opposed to tabouli, where I expect the herbs to shine through more. The lemon overpowered the cilantro so much that cilantro wasn't the main flavor, which is what I was hoping for. That being said, it was good, and healthy. I would make it again and just have different expectations!

Thanks for the recipe - it's so easy, but I wasn't sure how to make it right! Turned out great for my mojito!

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2010
Yum! I made these on a baking stone. It was the first time I'd used it for cookies. It worked well! I just had to bake longer than the recipe called for. (I'm sharing my experience with the stone, since I have nothing to add about the cookies that hasn't already been said!)

Green Bean Casserole II

This is the classic recipe everyone knows and loves. I'm surprised I even needed to look it up.

Slow Cooker Carnitas

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
I thought it needed more spices, like most people have said. Otherwise, this is very good and inexpensive. I made some rice and black beans to go with it. Very economical!

Feta and Slow-Roasted Tomato Salad with French Green Beans

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
I really enjoyed this. I've never loved arugula, but bought it on a whim at the farmer's market. I really liked it in this salad. I didn't have french green beans, so used regular. I tried to follow the recipe as close as possible, though, since no one else had reviewed it. I'd never roasted tomatoes - yum! This recipe was outside of the box for me, and I loved it!

Modenese Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2009
I made this on a whim, because I had fresh rosemary and this is what I decided to make with it. I was very happy with them. They smelled AMAZING while cooking. If I can figure out how to get all the flavor to infuse through the pork chop - they are 5 stars!

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2009
I almost gave it 4 stars, just because I'm not sure how the amount of milk would ever be enough. I added an extra teaspoon. That being said....this sets up great, and made for pretty cookies. I love the hint of almond extract. I will definitely be using this recipe again....just with extra milk!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2009
I followed the recipe exactly, and they came out great. I got lots of compliments. So many sugar cookies look pretty, but don't taste that great, and that isn't the case with these.

Corn, Sweet Onion, and Tomato Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2009
This is a very fresh tasting salad, with no oil, which I enjoy. The onion was a little overpowering, but that is definitely something I can just cut back on for my taste.

Spinach Salad With Berries and Curry Dressing

This was so good. I loved it as is. After eating some without it, I added some blue cheese and that kicked it up even another notch. The dressing smells amazing.

We enjoyed this. I, of course, liked the butter, but think it would be good without it. I will make this again!
