Chocolate Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2002
I couldn't imagine how boiling chocolate for 5 minutes wasn't going to taste burnt, but I stirred it constantly and it doesn't. I use it for ice cream topping and the flavor is very very good, much better than the last $10.00 jar of fancy hot fudge sauce I purchased. It tastes even better after it has had time to sit in the fridge. Texture is like very thick pudding, but easy to adjust with a little milk and heating. Chocoholics - the best way to appreciate it is straight out of the container.

White Chocolate Key Lime Endeavor with Macadamia Crunch

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2002
This recipe took me most of the day to make with having to freeze and bake and freeze and bake etc. BUT, it was SO-O-O-O worth it. I used only real lime juice and no concentrate, which makes a BIG difference in the flavor. I made it in an 8x8 square pan in bar form instead of pie, and it worked perfectly. If you have to impress them at the potluck and you have time to make it, bring this. I have never had any key lime anything that was this delicious.

Avocado Soup with Chicken and Lime

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2002
I added a can of pinquito beans and some frozen corn to this recipe and it was very filling and flavorful. The cilantro and real lime juice really make it stand out. Very good.

Kicky Steak Strips with Rice

These were pretty good, even though I don't like Worchestershire sauce much. And they were quick.

Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2002
My husband and I both loved these, one change - I just put them into soft corn tortillas and ate them like tacos instead of enchiladas because we were hungry! Tasted great!

Raspberry Lemon Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2002
I saw these in the email that announces the newest recipes. These muffins were the most refreshing tasting muffins I've had. I used only the real lemon juice, no concentrate. They had a nice chewy kind of crust and sweet-tart lemon flavor. If you've got raspberries and a lemon on hand, they can be whipped up very quickly, and I highly recommend them.

Cream of Mushroom Soup I

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2002
Since I can't eat most canned soup because of wheat allergy, I was very happy to find this recipe on this site. I make a bunch then use it in casseroles, etc. It is so much better than canned, the flavor is amazing. The thyme and the wine make it so much more flavorful. I used evaporated milk and whatever cheap wine was in the cabinet instead of cream and sherry, and it worked perfectly.

Chicken Pot Pie V

This would be outstanding with fresh herbs. I used cream of mushroom soup because I didn't have cream of chicken soup. I also used green beans and carrots for the vegetables and it worked great. Very gourmet for a pot pie.

Salisbury Steak

This stuff is great. Very flavorful because of the onion soup added right into the meat. The burgers fried up with a nice crust that mellowed out in the sauce. Hubby loved it.

Bacon Sunshine Skillet

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2002
Good stuff. We ate it for dinner instead of breakfast. I used tater tots instead of raw potatoes, I just put them still frozen in the pan and heated them until they got a little crunchy. We had barbeque sauce on top and it was delicious.

Adobo Sirloin

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2001
This recipe was fantastic. Easily put together and very unique flavor. Not too spicy and definitely not dull. The lime adds a lot of flavor, don't leave it out. Adobo sauce is not hard to find if your grocery store has ethnic foods.
