Savory Garlic Marinated Steaks

Used this on sirloin steaks that I cut into kebabs. I was only able to marinade for an hour but it was very good. As others have stated it was tangy, so I wouldn't want to marinade it too long.

The Best Steak Marinade

Used this recipe for sirloin steaks, marinated for 8 hours. All eating the steaks thought they were delicious. Made the recipe exactly as written, except seasoned steaks with the salt and pepper before grilling, didn't add it to the marinade.

Honey Beet Salad

Made this for a potluck, so doubled the recipe and it was excellent. I did as another reviewer recommended and reduced the onion to a couple of tbsp rather than 1/4 cup. The combination of flavors is wonderful.

Waffles I

Very easy and very tasty, will make these again for sure. For my waffle iron it made 5 large waffles. My 4 and 6 year old could only eat 1/2 a waffle. Next time I will make some of the substitutions that others recommended to lighten the calorie content a bit.

Sweet and Sour Meatballs II

I thought these were really good. I baked the meatballs at 325 F convection for 15 minutes. When I made the sauce I only used 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar and 2 tsp cornstarch then brought it to a boil. I added the meatballs and then simmered for 20 minutes. Served with brown rice and green beans. Next time I might even use less cornstarch.

Strawberry Cheese Pie

As others suggested, I made the dough - it truly was a great crust. I used sliced almonds and toasted them a little bit. I chopped a few strawberries and put them on the bottom of the pie crust before filing with cream mixture. This is a fantastic pie and I will make this again for sure.

Mongolian Beef and Spring Onions

I thought this was very good. A few simple changes, I fried the beef in 3 batches, in only 2 tbsp of oil each time. I might cut the sauce in half, as there was quite a bit of sauce. I also added mushrooms which went well with the sauce? Served with brown rice and steamed sugar snap peas.

Honey Baked Chicken II

I cut the butter to 1/4 cup and used 2 tsp madras curry paste. I also used 10 skinless chicken thighs. I baked it at 40 minutes at 300F on convection, basting often. It was excellent, I may use even less butter next time.

Asian Grilled Chicken

I thought this was excellent. I used bone-in, skinless chicken thighs. I baked them in the oven at 350 F for 45 minutes. Great flavor and cannot wait to try these on the grill once the snow is gone.
