This was a hit with my, I will add it to my rotation. The only change I made was to brine the chicken in salt water prior to cooking it. Thanks

Shrimp Scampi III

Extremely easy to prepare, quick and tasty. I followed the recipe exactly and will do so again. I am a novice when it comes to cooking with wine and could not find 'white wine' in the wine isle therefore used chardonnay. I am not sure if that was the right choice, however, I look forward to the next time to try another 'white wine'!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Followed directions exactly, crispy outside and slightly chewy inside, not what I had in mind. Also, I found the cookie to be too sweet.

Award Winning Peaches and Cream Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2009
This was great! We ate it warm because we just could not resist waiting to let it chill as the recipe suggest, delicious. I made a mistake and realized after I had already prepared half the recipe that it called for 'non-instant' vanilla pudding mix, well I used instant pudding anyways and it was great, I am not sure of what the difference would have been. Great recipe, it is going into my personal stash!

Cassie's Wishy Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2008
I used boneless chicken breasts and completely omitted the salt (we are on a low sodium diet). I marinated it for 9 hours them baked it in the marinade at 350 for 20 minutes then grilled it to add some color and smoky flavor. It was moist, juicy and very tasty. The family loved it and wanted to know what the recipe called for but I did not tell them the secret was Thousand Island dressing (out little secret) ;). Thanks Curt!

This recipe is great. It is super simple and taste great. I am still craving it even after my husband and I finished the 9x13 inch cake/pie. If you are going to family's house for Thanksgiving and are responsible for desert take this one, everyone will enjoy. P.S. Don't change the recipe, it is delicious just the way it is. Thanks for sharing Carolyn!

Great recipe, the only thing I highly recommend (I took the suggestion of another) is to puree the cooked beans in a blender or food processor. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2008
Excellent soft oatmeal cookie. I followed the directions exactly the first time I made them and they were great, but this time a decided to add a few extras. I included about 1/2-3/4 cup shredded coconut, almond slivers and Californian golden raisins. Great recipe just as but also versatile enough to incorporate different things in. Thanks!

Soft Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2008
These were just as Cindy said, not too sweet but if cooked just long enough soft. The only major change I made was to take the suggestions of others and add a total of 3/4 cup peanut butter. Beyond that, as personal craving, I added about 1/2 cup chopped roasted peanuts. This is my new "go-to" peanut butter cookie recipe. Thanks Cindy!!!

Balsamic Pea Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2008
Perhaps this is unfair, but I can't stand green peas. I have a freezer full and needed some means of using them up so I tried this recipe. I did not care for this recipe, my poor family did the best they could do in trying to finish this side dish (even the green pea-lover of the family). If you are trying to do something creative with peas I suggest you find another recipe from this site.

Cajun-Spiced Popcorn

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2008
Nice change from the usual buttered popcorn. The only problem I had was that the popcorn needed to be stirred sooner than 5 minutes (more like 1-2 minutes) or it was going to burn. I also only roasted it for maybe about 8 minutes. By the way I was temped to skip the time in the oven and I am glad it did not, it mellowed the flavors and blended them nicely. Thanks for the recipe.

Best Bread Machine Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2008
Great recipe! Only 6 ingredients, super easy to make and it taste this good, you can't ask for more. The change I did make was to add 1/2 teaspoon more of the salt and I did punch the dough down midway through rising to prevent it from hitting the top of the bread maker. The crust was very nice and flaky, my husband loved it (and of course the bread itself). Thanks for the great recipe!
