Salmon Stew (Abalos Style)

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2013
Very tasty! Never worked with canned pink salmon before, and was a little grossed out because of all the little circle bones, but the flavor of the stew was excellent! :D

Cabbage Jambalaya

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2013
Actually a really good recipe. I was a little leary...not being very fond of cabbage. But I found this recipe after searching for specific ingredients. I had on-hand cabbage, sausage, rice, and stewed tomatoes and looked for a recipe that would utilize all of these. Even after it was cooked, it didn't look wonderful since the purple from the cabbage seeped into the mixture. But the flavor was very good. I do like jambalaya, and the cabbage makes an interesting and healthier variation.j Pleasantly surprised! :D

Lobster Bisque

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2012
Tasty! Altered a little though. Did not have Worcestershire sauce, so I added a packet of soy sauce. Also did the medium slices of onion. However, these were large when eating the soup, so next time I will dice before putting in the skillet.

Creamy Potato Lasagna

Although a little lengthy as far as prep/cook time goes, this recipe is very yummy and worth the wait. Even my picky fiance enjoyed it! :D

Mom's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2010
Excellent! Very easy...and most of the ingredients are ones I have available on a daily basis. Didn't have brown sugar this time...so I just used all white sugar...but they still came out great! The vanilla and the vanilla pudding mix add a nice, richer flavor to the cookie. Yum! :D

Pollo a la Crema

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2010
This recipe tastes really good. Altered it just a little. Didn't have the cream, so I used the substitution of 3/4c milk and 1/3c butter. Also didn't have rice as a side, but used refried beans. Delish! :D
