About this Cook
Started cooking for my husband when I moved out of my mother's house. Never knew it could be so much fun, although my poor husband is my guinea pig. Most of the time he's happy about it though!
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking Italian food and trying a new fresh herb or vegetable that I haven't used before.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Out family's recipe for Spaghetti Sauce (7 ingredients) and tons of baking traditions that I am still trying to master. Especially the fried dough at Christmas!
My cooking triumphs
I had a Tapas night one winter evening for my family and friends and it was wonderful. I cooked for two days before and wound up serving about ten different things!
My cooking tragedies
The first time I ever made meat loaf it came out green because I used dried parsley instead of fresh parsley! - I think everyone makes that mistake at least once, and I haven't looked back or made meatloaf since! HaHa!

Maple Baked Pork Loin Roast
Roasted pork is great when you slow cook it in the oven but DO NOT USE THIS COMBINATION OF INGREDIENTS FOR THE SAUCE. This is a weird combination of ingredients and the water and maple syrup do not mix nor taste well with the ketchup. Roast with BBQ instead. No good.

Key West Penne
Wow, hands down my favorite recipe on this site. Definitely add some garlic and julienne the Sun dried tomatoes, other than that, this is bliss. The flavors are so wonderful together, just be careful not to get too many biiter olives.

Peppermint Brittle
Excellent - Make it every Christmas and everyone loves it. You can also makes less with just one box of candy canes and one box of White chocolate. I LOVE THIS RECIPE.
