Great recipe, I tried it just as written once and it was great. I modified it with double raisins and added some rum to the liquid to soak the raisins. Also added a 1/2 teaspoon of ground cloves and left off the pecans. Added some extra baking powder. They are truly scrumptious. I used whole wheat flour instead of white.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Yum. Just remember to keep the sugar mixture warm and make it just in time to pour over the top. I made it ahead and it turned into a hard clump. Still tasty but I think it would have been better if I had done the topping properly.

Crepes

These are perfect. After an hours rest, the batter produced gorgeous, browned, soft, delicate crepes. One batch makes exactly eight crepes. Great recipe.

Cinnamon, Spice and Everything Nice Cookies

Outstanding. Makes a ton. I didn't change a thing. I found that if you refrigerate the dough, it was actually harder to roll because the chips didn't sink it. I have rolled these in sugar and popped them in the freezer. They will be wonderful when a friend pops over and I need a quick dessert with tea.
