About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE desserts! the fancier, the better. I also like making new, exotic things to wow my husband. I'm learning to cook healthier too.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Urban cuisine
My cooking triumphs
After my tragic Sweet Potato Pies, I turned them into a sweet potato casserole. I scooped it out of the crusts and topped it with marshmallows - yum!
My cooking tragedies
My first sweet potato pies were in the oven sizzling and I didn't know why. My sister's recipe said use 1 stick of butter per pie, (at least that's what I THOUGHT she said!) It was actually 1 stick of butter per potato! LOL. I only used 2 large potatoes to make 4 pies, so I had waaaaaaaaaaayy too much butter.

Peach Cobbler Dump Cake I
I used Butter Pecan cake mix instead of just plain yellow and it tasted so much better!!!!

Creamy White Chicken and Artichoke Lasagna
This was fantastic! READ THE INGREDIENT LIST CAREFULLY!!! I noticed some people added a can of diced tomatoes when the recipe calls for sun-dried tomates. Big difference!!!!

Three Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies
Wonderful! I made a few changes according to the reviews. I used half sugar and half Spenda blend brown sugar. Doubled the recipe and used 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup Splenda. I also added 1/2 tsp salt and they spread a little and tasted great. I also baked them for 10 min
