Me trying to cool off in the summer
About this Cook
I'm a writing major at my local University and I really love to cook. I'm going to Paris and London in May and am so excited to go!
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking different chicken recipes and mexican food. I also love making creme brulee and crepes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite is Thanksgiving. It's really tradition food and I love smelling the turkey cooking in the house all day long. I always get to make the mashed potatoes in my house and I love using the masher on them.
My cooking triumphs
For some reason I cannot make a pancake to save my life but crepes are kind of a specialty of mine, at least in my house. I'm the only one in my house that can tell if a crepe is done and ready to flip or not. I also love making creme brulee and the different steps that are needed to make it correctly are something that I am willing to do repeatedly.
My cooking tragedies
I tried making orange chicken one night and the sauce ended up being too sweet and too thick. It had the same consistency peanut butter that had been in the fridge for a few hours. It was completely awful.

Key Lime Cheesecakes with Raspberry Swirls
I love this recipe! Made it last night with my mom and tried it this morning...super impressed! These are so delicious. The only reason I'm giving it four stars is because the yield is way more than 24 mini muffins. I think that's a typo...think it would be 24 regular muffin sized cheesecakes.

Jimmbo's Garlic Knots
These would have been absolutely divine...if I hadn't burnt the bottoms of them. Tops looked golden brown, they are deceiving. I can see that the taste would be just great if I hadn't done that though. Will be making this again but keeping a closer eye on them next time.

Sausage French Bread Pizza
Quick, easy, delicious! Just eating it now. Like others, I toasted the bread a bit before putting the sauce on but I think next time I'll toast a little more, still a little soggy. I'm really enjoying it right now though! Thanks for the recipe!
