About this Cook
I love to bake, so the holidays are my best time to shine in the kitchen! I have 3 children so I really enjoy quick and easy meals, but I really enjoy taking on a new challenge every now and again!
My favorite things to cook
Desserts are my number one specialty. I make a mean caramel corn every winter and various kinds of Christmas cookies. I also enjoy making cheesecakes. Roast chicken is another of my specialties, as well as lasagna.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love all the traditions surrounding the holidays! We always have turkey on Thanksgiving, ham at Christmas and Cornish Hens and Black Eyed Peas for New Years! My mom always used to bake up a storm during the holidays and now that torch has been passed to me!
My cooking triumphs
I finally made my first Thanksgiving turkey this year! We always went to someone else's house so I never had to make one before, but it turned out perfectly browned, moist and delicious! I was so proud!
My cooking tragedies
I will never live down the time I started a fire making macaroni and cheese. Note to self: always check the burner pans for spills before lighting the stove!

Homemade Crispy Seasoned French Fries
Just tried these and they really are as good as everyone says! A little time-consuming, but SO worth it!! I even added a lilttle bit of Taco Seasoning to the batter for a little extra flavor!

Peanut Clusters
Very good...the only reason I held back the last star is that my mom always made these with Almond Bark in place of the peanut butter chips and they are WONDERFUL that way! My brother begs for them every year!
