Incredibly Easy Chicken and Noodles

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2015
This a fantastic recipe and almost as good as the cook-all-day-homemade-egg-noodle version! DO NOT substitute dried noodles for the frozen egg noodles or you will not have that fabulous consistency and flavor. I used 2 12-oz packages of Reames' frozen egg noodles and it turned out great with the same consistency my Great grandmother and Great Aunts always got. I used a rotisserie chicken and shredded the breast meat which made it super easy and super tasty! Thanks for a terrific down-home recipe!!

Italian Dressing Mix

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2008
This recipe is so salty it is inedible as written. The recipe is absolutely delicious when the salt is cut in half and garlic powder is used instead of garlic salt. Fellow reviewers, please rate recipes as written, before making major modifications.

Amazingly Good Eggnog

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2008
This was my first attempt at home made egg nog and the results were fabulous! Before I added the rum, I set aside 1 quart of the mixture for a virgin eggnog as we were having lots of children for Christmas. To the remaining mixture I added 1 cup of rum and it was absolutely strong enough. Any more would have overpowered the fabulous flavor of the eggnog. This one is spectacular, give it a try.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2007
This is the best banana bread I've ever had! The only change I made was to use half whole wheat flour and half all purpose flour to make it a little healthier. I kept wanting to take it out of the oven before 60 minutes was up because it got brown quickly. But I'm so glad I utilized the entire 60 minutes (62 actually). The bread was moist, had a great banana flavor and was absolutely delicious. I will never make another banana bread again! Thanks for a great recipe.

Fruit Pizza I

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2007
Wow! I will never use refrigerated cookie dough again. This is absolutely heavenly when compared to the "store bought" variety. I make it exactly as written and am pleased with the results each time!

Linda's Lasagna

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2007
This is not the best lasagna I've ever had. But it is the best lasagna that is this easy to make! I will make this again and save my more complicated recipe for special occasions.

Lemonade Pie III

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2007
My mom has been making this pie for 30 years and I've been making it just about as long. This is the original and best lemonade pie out there! It couldn't be easier and if you want to make it look nice you can add very thin lemoon slices to the top outside edge for a garnish.

Blackberry Cobbler II

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2007
This is a terrific straightforward cobbler recipe. I added a few shakes of cinnamon to the dough but not to the blackberries. I find that the lemon and sugar enhances the flavor of the blackberries enough. As my cast iron skillet is MUCH bigger than the suggested size, I cooked the berries in a sauce pan over medium heat and then traferred them to a round casserole dish. It turned out perfectly as is if you don't like your cobbler too doughy (like we do!).

Pizza Without the Red Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2007
Easy, healthy and tasty. What more could you want from a recipe. My husband couldn't stop eating. The jalapeno and garlic give it plenty of zip and the veggies really make it healthy. It's truly the best of both worlds. I cut the feta slightly and added 2 tablespoons of Parmesan on top because we love the flavor.

Chocolate Mint Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2006
These cookies are fantastic. I made them for a cookie exchange and got rave reviews. The only thing I did differently was added 1/4 teaspoon of peppermint extract to the dough prior to refrigerating. Other than that, the cookies are perfect as written. The brown sugar gives them a terrific, irresistable texture.
