I made this for a party and got rave reviews. I added dried cranberries and chopped toasted pecans.

After-Thanksgiving Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2007
I don't make soup usually and wanted something simple to use my leftover turkey carcass. This recipe came out fab!Flavor was excellent! I had enough leftover stock to freeze separately as well. Thanks for a real keeper!

Serbian Ground Beef, Veggie, and Potato Bake

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2007
Flavor was really good. I didn't give it 5 stars because it had an indentity crisis. I think if I added more potatoes it might be more like a casserole. It seemed like a stew (which was good too).

Addictive Sweet Potato Burritos

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2007
I used one sweet potato and one can of kidney beans. Sauteed onions with curry and cumin and added a little red pepper. Fried the tortillas in oil first, then wrapped and baked for 15 min. Excellent.

I added lime juice, tabasco and avocado. Took it to a dinner party and got compliments from people who are good cooks, so a keeper for the recipe box! Thanks.

Crab Quiche

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2007
This is a great side dish or buffet entree. I added 1 tsp. of Old Bay seasoning, cut back on the salt and pepper, added chopped red onion and green chiles. Really good!

Crispy Orange Beef

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2007
The sauce and beef prep is really good. You can easily add different veggies to change this up and add variety. My picky husband gave it a thumbs up.I cooked it like a saute and only used about a tablespoon of oil. 2 cups is a deep fry.

Italian Meatball Sandwich Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2007
I used no water and it was moist, not soggy. The meatballs were great and easy to make, but I'm not sure about the cream cheese, a little off to me. The overall flavor was good.

Runzas (Bierocks)

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2007
Wonderful! I added sauteed onions and mushrooms. I stretched my dough to far, they came out more like calzones, only two to a cookie sheet! But I wanted to use all the filling. Will try to restrain myself next time.

Portuguese Chicken I

On it's own, this is just good. The sauce is excellent. I think my overall impression was based on the whole meal. Serve it with the right side dishes and could be great. Otherwise just OK.

Seafood And Cabbage Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2007
I must have done something wrong. The peppers overwhelmed the flavor for me and the dressing was too sweet. Will try again.

Amazing Italian Lemon Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2007
Wow, this was better than some pasta entrees I'v had in restaurants. I did cut the butter in half, it was still very flavorful. Don't sub other ingredients. If you want light, pick a different recipe. This is worth the extra artery clogging calories!

Slow Cooker Cranberry Roast

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2007
I used whole berry cranberry and the gravy was great. The roast itself was bland, so I only gave it three stars. I will use the gravy recipe for pork too, it was good.

Fish Tacos

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2007
The beer batter is excellent! I think these are more suited to fish and chips though. Maybe it's a regional thing, but they didn't taste like fish tacos to me.

Uglies

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2007
I can't really review these because I changed a major ingredient, substituting cream of mushroom soup for barbeque sauce. However, my husband loved them and I will make again trying the real recipe. Thanks!
