This was my first attempt at clam chowder. Based on the rating and review, I took a gamble on this one. Tripled the recipe for our weekly neighborhood get-together, and followed the suggestions of others, by adding 4 celery stalks to the butter/onion roux. I also used 3 tsp old bay seasoning, 6 cans whole baby clams, 3 bottles clam juice,15 cups of chicken stock, 9 cups half-n-half and 8 pounds of potatoes. This recipe was pretty easy to prepare and cooked up thick and hearty. The taste is rich and delicious and I love the addition of the dill. This chowder was an absolute hit and deserves its 5 star rating!!
