Marinade for Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2011
Awesome! Only change I had to make was leaving out the dry mustard...didn't have any. I added a few tablespoons of minced garlic and some crushed red pepper. Baked it in the oven at 350 for 45-50 minutes. Will be using this again!

BAKER'S ONE BOWL Brownies

Reviewed: May 27, 2008
The first problem I had was the size of the pan. Once I saw the amount of batter I had I knew I should have used an 8x8. I did use the 13x9 as suggested and the brownie mix barely covered the pan. I followed the recipe exactly, and while these were in the oven I could hear sizzling. The entire top of the brownies were covered in a bubbling mess of butter! I spooned off as much as I could, and let them cool. My hubby and I tasted them and they were SO bitter! What a waste of ingredients!

MMMMM... Brownies

Reviewed: May 27, 2008
These were ok, not great...but ok. Followed recipe exactly and got very cakey, not really sweet brownies. I was looking for fudgy and chewy, this was more like chocolate cake. Sorry...not a fan of these at all.

Bill's Blue Cheese Dressing

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
This is awesome dressing!! Having said that..let me tell you how I "messed" it up, LOL. I used fat free sour cream and reduced fat mayo trying to be healthier. It tastes great, but it's actually too thin..almost runny after 1 night in the fridge. Moral of the story here is go with the full fat sour ceam and mayo, lol. I don't know why fat free stuff makes it runny..but it does. I'm eating it anyway..it's just too darn tasty not too, lol.

Delicious Raspberry Oatmeal Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2008
Oh these are good! My husband devoured them in less than 2 days, lol. Followed recipe exactly and next time will double it (so I may get more than one bar, lol) I threw some flaked coconut on top about 10 minutes before they were done too. ( I love coconut on anything I can get it on!) Next time, I will have to work the softened butter in a bit more. My bars didn't fall apart by any means, and came out of the pan alright...but they were a bit too fragile (crumbly) to pick up and eat without making a mess. My fault though..

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2008
This is excellent!! I added a bunch of spices to the meat as it cooked. (more garlic, italian herbs, onion powder, red pepper flakes) and used other reviewers advice of mixing the pasta right in the sauce/meat mixture rather than layering. I used penne pasta because I wasn't paying attention in the store, lol and it turned out great. I made this a day ahead and kept it covered in the fridge until the next evening. The only thing I will do next time is make more of the cheese/sour cream mixture to make that layer bigger. I used fat free Ricotta and fat free sour cream and you'd never know it :) Thanks for a great recipe!

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2008
There should be more than 5 stars for this one!! What a delicious carrot cake! Made it for the 1st time Friday night and it's gone already! I used other reviewers suggestions and substituted some oil for unsweetened apple sauce, used about 1/2 cup of coconut and 3 cups of confectioners sugar for the icing. Turned out great and just sweet enough. Thanks for this great recipe..it's a keeper!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie II

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2008
This is a delicious pie and it really couldn't be easier to make too! I used 3 Devils Food fat free pudding cups,(I like dark chocolate) a 1/2 cup reduced fat chunky pb and fat free cool whip. I took another reviewers advice and melted some choc and pb chips to drizzle over the top and sprinkled with more choc and pb chips. SO good!!!

Apple Crumb Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2007
I just made this for the first time yesterday (my very first pie too) and WOW! I was having people over for dinner and this was dessert. Everyone thought it was great. I used Granny Smith apples, and added a little more flour to the apple mix (as others suggested here) I also doubled the crumb mixture and I'm glad I did. Thank you for making me look like I know what I'm doing, lol. ;)

Coconut Jays

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2006
These cookies are GREAT! I left out the cherry (only because I'm not a fan) and just filled the hole with the melted chocolate. We'll be lucky if we have any left for Christmas!
