Quinoa Almond Pilaf

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2014
Very good a little time consuming to make so would be more of a weekend type of recipe. Nice and healthly dish. We had it with salmon fish cakes on this side and was an excellent combo.

Salmon Patties With Dill Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2014
Excellent, easy to make and easy to have all ingredients on hand. I did not make the sauce because I had a very good herb dip on hand that was faster.

Simple Scones

This would be a 5 star but the cooking time seems to off and my first batch overcooked. Decrease to 375.

Argentine Lentil Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2007
This was rather thin and more like a soup. I do not think that I will be making this again. I added tabsco sauce and extra BBQ sauce and it was still bland.

Chewiest Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
I really did not like this recipe. I followed the other users suggestions and added oil and an egg despite this they were still very crumbly. I will not be making this again even though they tasted okay.

Eggplant Parmesan II

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2007
I will probably make this one again if I am in the mood for eggplant. I prefer the vegetarian moussaka that can be found on this site as well and also uses eggplant however this recipe is simpler than the mossaka. I followed other users instructions and removed the excess water with salt and baked the eggplant for 10 minutes on each side. I also added feta cheese. I think that I will add spinach next time as I have seen this in another recipe and I think that it would be good.

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2007
This was a good recipe but not excellent but I will be making it again. It made 6 patties for me. I followed the other users advice, I reduced the cumin to 1 teaspon, I did not have pepper so I used one finely chopped carotte and I froze the patties, I also added an extra egg and they did not crumble. In addition I topped them barbecue sauce. I froze the rest of the patties as well for another meal.

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies IV

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2007
Theses cookies are delicious. I will be making them again. They are similar to the ones found at Subway. I did not find that they were puffy at all. They also do taste the best on the second day.

Vegetarian Moussaka

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2007
Good food takes time, adding 1/2 hour to the prep time is more realistic. Individual portions freeze well, make a big batch to make it worth the effort.

Best Carrot Cake Ever

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2007
This is by far the best carrot cake I've ever made. The sweet pineapple means you use a lot less sugar than some of the other recipes out there. I used the scale to reduce the recipe by 1/2 and it was still perfect. To top it off I had to go with simple cream cheese icing. I package of cream cheese, 1 stick of butter (1/2cup) 1 3/4 cup of icing sugar and 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice.

Vegetarian Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2007
These are the best veggie meatballs I've tried so far. The recipe is easy to follow, the only hesitation was with the amount of pecans to use (1 cup pre or post grinding?) We used 1 cup of ground pecans and I think it would have been better with a little less than that. Also on the advice of many reviewers we did not use the sauce but instead used the sauce from "Lana's sweet and sour meatballs". The veggie meatballs with Lana's pineapple sauce was amazing and I will no doubt make it again.

Lemon Cranberry Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2007
I added zest of one lemon and I think it really added to the flavor. I did not almonds but it turned out great anyway. I don't think that anything else needs to be changed.
