Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2010
This is a great, easy recipe! They do flatten out more than I expected, but my husband actually preferred that. I used vanilla, orange extract and orange juice in a batch and they were heavenly. I added a couple of tablespoons extra flour to compensate for the extra liquid. I will be making another batch tonight with a new flavor!

Lamb Tagine

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2010
WOW! First time I attempted to cook lamb and it was amazing. My husband and dinner guests raved over it. I will make this again and again and again. I followed the recipe mostly. I used 2 cups of organic chicken broth instead of one can. I was secretly hoping my guests didn't want seconds so I'd have leftovers!! Lol

Mini Sour Cream Biscuits

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
So easy and yummy! I don't have a mini muffin pan so I just made drop biscuits. They were flaky and perfect for my biscuits and gravy. Thanks for the recipe. It's a keeper!! I plan to add garlic and shredded cheddar next time for dinner biscuits. This recipe has a ton of possibilities.

The World's Best Turkey

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2008
This was NOT the best turkey I've ever had nor did it come out moist. I will stick with my regular method. The turkey had no flavor of the items inside. I usually cook mine in a bag with fresh herbs under the skin. I will do that next year. Thankfully, the stuffing was the best I've ever made! Lol

Old-Fashioned Chicken And Slick Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
THIS was how my mom made her dumplings!!! At first the dumplings puffed up and I was afraid they were "the other kind of dumplings", but they cooked for a while longer and became the flat, slick dumplings I ate when growing up. I didn't add any potatoes (the dumplings are enough starch) and thickened the broth after the dumplings cooked to perfection. I also used Bisquick mix instead of the flour, salt, baking powder.

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
I gave this 5 stars because of it's ease of prep. I doubled the recipe, added a TON more pumpkin pie spice. It was a bit on the sweet side for me, but I can fix that next time by making it spicier. I used an extra large graham cracker crust for one and made the other, which only filled about half a pie pan, crustless. Basically, made one pumpkin custard to eat while the pie was saved for Thanksgiving LOL. I tried to make pumpkin pie YEARS ago and failed miserably. I tried this and will be making this from now on. Thanks for posting this recipe!

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies I

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2007
These were the BEST oatmeal raisin cookies I've ever eaten. I added about a cup or so of Butterscotch chips and a few extra raisins. I couldn't keep my hands out of the cookie jar! They were gone in no time at all.

Cream Cheese Cookies IV

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2006
I think made according to the directions this cookie might be somewhat bland. So, I used a white cake mix, added orange extract, strawberry flavored Craisins and chopped pecans. I was surprised they didn't spread when baked. They are yummy morsels! I will make again soon. *Edit* I made these again with a coconut cake mix and finely chopped pecans. Hubbys boss said they were f'ing awesome cookies! And they were gone in no time flat.

Babe Ruth Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2006
Very easy, quick snack to make. I used 5c. corn flakes and a 1/4 cup less white sugar. I did not mix the choc. chips in because Babe Ruth bars only have choc. on outside. So, I melted choc. chips and poured on top of mixture. Then topped with some chopped butterscotch chips and chopped peanuts. Yummy, but doesn't taste like Babe Ruth bar.
