Perfect Turkey

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2006
I was pretty brave this year! After reading the reviews for the turkey, I decieded to make the turkey. Thanksgiving was at my sister in law's house, which created a problem. Without my wifes permission I asked my sister in law if I could make the turkey. So as I'm preparing the turkey and bring it over to her house I decieded to tell her, "I've never made a turkey before". She was really supportive and when the turkey was on its breast that through them for a loop. Ofcourse the whole party was focused on this turkey. It better not be dry was the overall response. I'm not going to lie, I was so nervous. Flipping over the turkey was pretty tough since it was 24lbs, next time I'll use a lower roasting pan to help with the flipping. After 5hrs 15mins the turkey was finished. Let's just say by the end of the night my new nickname was "TURKEY BOY" I've never tasted turkey so moist, even the white meat dripped of juices!! I soaked it in Celtic Sea Salt for about 16hrs and followed the veggies & added about 2 1/2 cups of white wine! Thanks for this outstanding recipe. This was my first turkey and I'll stay with this recipe for life. Thanks for making me a hero!!!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2007
What more can you say. "Clone of Cinnabon" Says it all. I made this twice. The first time I cooked it at 350 and they were perfect. The 2nd time I cooked it at 400 and they were a lot dryer and the brown sugar crystalized. Not as good at 400. Way better at 350!

Rock Salt Encrusted Prime Rib

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2012
Everyone loved this recipe, however it was very stressful to cook. I planned on it taking it about 3 hours based on the instructions. I had a bone in 15lb prime rib at followed all the directions. 450 and then repatched the holes. After an hour of cooking the Prime Rib was registering 170 degrees! It was done in 1 hour for some reason, I turned the oven down to 200 and waited it out for the next two hours. I think this recipe needs to be revisited because realistically I could of served it after an hour. All my visitors were very impressed with the Prime Rib as was I. I just wish the cooking time was more clear.

Just what the name says Awesome Sausage Apple and Cranberry Stuffing. Guess who gets to make the stuffing next year.....I do and I'm glad! I accidently double the butter and ofcourse it turned out perfect. I could not find ground turkey sausage in 3 diffrent stores so I used ground pork sausage. Great recipe it will not disappoint.

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2007
I brought this fudge recipe to a gathering and put it next to another. This recipe put the other to shame. My fudge was so creamy and seemed to last in the mouth longer. Mine was eaten up and the other stayed.

Wonderful simple, simple, simple 5 star salmon recipe. My wife & I eat twice a week so it can get pretty boring, but this recipe surprised us. Great citrus, tangy flavor!
