Sausage Smothered in Red Cabbage
love this for my vegan family...just substitute soy sausage (Tofurky) and everyone absolutely devours this! we serve with mashed potatoes for a meal...also the rye bread is a must. thanks for the great recipe.

Belle's Hamburger Buns
so amazing! used the bread machine and my husband said these were the BEST gourmet bakery buns he's ever had....he loved them even more when I told them I baked them myself (saving $$$). so this is my trick: 1 put the yeast, warm water and sugar in the machine and let the yeast fizz for 10 minutes...then add the rest of the ingredients and put on DOUGH setting (for me it's 1.5 hours) then baked at 400 for 10 minutes then swapped oven rack positions and baked another 10 minutes. ABSOLUTELY the best buns! I had enough to make 12 decent sized hamburger buns + 2 small loaves of bread. Normally I don't do the egg/water glaze but I did it this time and would definitely recommend it - - just seemed to add a "pretty-ness" to the buns.

can also add all ingredients (except vanilla & half-and-half) then microwave (did mine on "Beverage") and top with whipped cream. super easy and no need to use the stove
