American Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2011
I cooked the noodles first to ensure there was enough sauce. Also I added a jar of spaghetti sauce to the diced tomatoes and it didn't have near enough sauce. It actually looked like there was only meat on the noodles.

A fantastic punch. I love it because there isn't any added sugar. Absolutely delicious and refreshing.

Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2011
My husband loved it but I didn't as much. Maybe because it was too thick. I would need to double the liquid next time.

German Apple Cake I

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2011
Absolutely fantastic! I used red delicious apples only because I had a ton to use up and it was still fantastic. I followed the recipe exactly even cooking it exactly 45 minutes. This recipe is perfect just the way it is.

Zucchini Alfredo

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2010
Awesome! My only changes were doubling the milk and cream cheese. I also grated 1/2 an onion and added to the grated zucchini. I am always looking for recipes to use up my zucchini and this one is a keeper. Thanks.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2009
Fantastic! I used 3 cups zucchini cause I had plenty to use and blueberries instead of nuts. Also I don't have two loaf pans and didn't want to half the recipe so I made the entire thing in an angel food cake pan and baked for 60 minutes and it was perfect.

Zucchini Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
I have so many zucchini from our garden and the kids were getting tired of eating it and I hate wasting anything so I was in search of a new way to make it and stumbled upon these brownies. They are awesome. I was worried when the batter seemed so dry but as soon as I added the zucchini it was just as moist as regular brownies. I omitted the nuts and added choc chips so my kids would eat them. I did not tell them there was zucchini in there and you could not tell. It must melt during baking. I just shredded it and you can not see it at all. Thanks for a great recipe it's a keeper.

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2007
I used the changes mentioned by so many. It mixed very well. I had no problems getting it to set. Perfect! Personally I thought it wasn't creamy enough. Too much powdered sugar even at the reduced amount. I'll keep looking but thanks anyway!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2007
It was a hit! I used 3 bouillon cups as I didn't have granules. I added 1 chopped carrot. I cooked the onion in the 5 T. butter and then added the flour and continued as called for. Once it was all compiled I added a cup of frozen corn which I think made the dish. Wonderful! Added 2011: I have given this recipe out to many people. It is always a favorite. I really never put ham in it. I always double the recipe. If you are going to the trouble you might as well makes enough for a couple meals. A winter time staple.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2007
An excellent meatloaf. It has become my meatloaf of choice. I have made this several times. I mix the brown sugar and ketchup together first and place on top of meat. Line pan with foil and it makes it easy to lift out.

Chicken and Red Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2007
Maybe it was just me but I thought this wasn't all that great. It was ok. I used 2 parts wine to 1 part brown sugar after reading the reviews. Probably won't make again. Rather drink the wine.

Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2007
Do you stay away from mashed potatoes cause the last thing you want to do before you sit down to dinner is make a huge mess while everything is getting cold, including the potatoes? Everyone loves them cause they taste great! I love them cause they are easy, stay hot and there is no last minute clean-up! I will never make mashed potatoes the traditional way again. The only thing I did was half the cream cheese cause my family isn't a big fan. The best part is they stay hot through the entire meal. I keep them in the crock pot to serve.

Chicken Quesadillas

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2007
I really like this recipe. It is quick and easy which is perfect for my family. I double the recipe and use 5 frozen perdue chicken tenderloins which makes it even faster. Fry the frozen chicken on medium/high for 5 minutes on each side, cool and chop. Also I cook them in the oven at 350 which is easier to me. Compile and cook 3-4 minutes on each side. Added 2011: I still makes these all the time. I think of them as a easy meal I can throw together when I really don't feel like cooking at all. Also easy to customize for each child with tomatoes, onions, seasonings whatever. I serve with salsa, guacamole and/or sour cream.
