Toffee and Cinnamon Apples

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2008
I really liked this recipe. I served it as a topping over a NY Cheesecake but I think it would have been perfect just as is or over ice cream.

Best Brownies

These were a really good rich brownie. I did not use the honey and just added milk to thin out. Will make again!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: May 16, 2009
The taste of this cookie is good. I use 1/2 butter flavored crisco in place of the butter. I also add 1/2 tsp butter extract. Very good. The dough is easy to use and can be sprinkled with sugar and then baked or frosted after baking. Very versitaile and great either way.

One Dish Chicken Bake

Reviewed: May 19, 2009
We really liked this. I made it as is, however, I did bake it a little longer and at the temp 400 to make sure the chicken was done. The chicken was so moist and delicious!

Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
This bread is awesome. I actually made some pearsauce and put it in instead of the applesauce but it was great. We ate it warm right out of the oven. Yum!

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
I halved the recipe and it came out great. It was a little on the salty side, so I would suggest lower sodium soup.

Cinnabun Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
Very Good! I didn't put the filling in on the cookie sheet before putting the cookie on. I made 3/4 of the filling recipe and put it all in the center of the cookie. I also placed the cookies in the freezer for a couple minutes before baking. Make sure you do not add too much flour to the dough when rolling out and allow to slightly warm up to room temperature before you roll into a ball. Hope that helps!

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2010
I have tried many times to make rice pudding and it never comes out. This was excellent. I did add a bit more vanilla. It reminds me of tapioca pudding but with rice instead.

Chocolate Crinkles II

These were a very good easy cookie to make. I actually 1/4'd the recipe and it made about 18 cookies. I would make again.

Arrabbiata Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2011
We loved this. I used beef broth instead of the red wine and used one can red pepper tomatoes and once can of spicy red pepper tomatoes. I also added some green and red pepper and instead of tomato paste added some canned spaghetti meat flavored sauce. I browned garlic and veggies in oil and then cooked in the crockpot. Great!

Slow Cooker Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2010
These came out good. I didn't mash them, I just used them whole. I'm not sure that the full cooking time was needed, I turned it to "warm" once the potatoes were cooked.

Donut Muffins

Good. I'm not sure they tasted exactly like a donut but they were good. Ireplaced the nutmeg with cinnamon. 2nd Review-I made these again and covered in icing and rolled peanuts for a "peanut donut". Excellent!

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
Very Good Recipe. I follewed it exactly, except I rolled my cookies into balls, froze, and then baked at 375 for about 8 minutes. This made them soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Would make again:)

Raisin Bran Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2010
This is our favorite recipe. Very easy to make and we love it. Update-I made this recipe with 7 oz bread flour and 6 oz white whole wheat flour. I added 1 tbsp gluten. I did in the bread machine on dough cycle, took out and then rose for about an hour. Baked at 350 for about 35 minutes. Excellent! It rose beautifully.
