Buffalo Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2009
Living my whole life in Buffalo, this was right up my alley! We loved it. I did make a few small changes, used boneless chicken instead of ground, used half of the chili powder, no cumin, and 2/3 cup buffalo sauce. And I did it in the crockpot. Great Recipe!

Slow Cooker Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2010
These came out good. I didn't mash them, I just used them whole. I'm not sure that the full cooking time was needed, I turned it to "warm" once the potatoes were cooked.

Donut Muffins

Good. I'm not sure they tasted exactly like a donut but they were good. Ireplaced the nutmeg with cinnamon. 2nd Review-I made these again and covered in icing and rolled peanuts for a "peanut donut". Excellent!

These were SO good. Made exactly as written except made a chocolate syrup and powdered sugar frosting instead of the recipe included. I would make again!

Glazed Apple Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
I'm going to give these a five even though I thought they were a bit too sweet with the frosting. Only changes I made was to use 1/4 cup shortening and 1/4 cup butter, pecans instead of walnuts, and for the icing, I used maple extract. A good cookie.

Cajun Crab Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2010
This soup was excellent. I made a couple changes. I added 3 diced baking potatoes to the broth and cooked them until tender. I added 1 cup water plus 2 chicken boullion cubes. And also substituted one can fat free evaporated milk for the cream. Will definetely make again. It is very spicy.

Raisin Bran Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2010
This is our favorite recipe. Very easy to make and we love it. Update-I made this recipe with 7 oz bread flour and 6 oz white whole wheat flour. I added 1 tbsp gluten. I did in the bread machine on dough cycle, took out and then rose for about an hour. Baked at 350 for about 35 minutes. Excellent! It rose beautifully.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
Very Good Recipe. I follewed it exactly, except I rolled my cookies into balls, froze, and then baked at 375 for about 8 minutes. This made them soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Would make again:)

Easy Oatmeal Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2011
These were really good. I upped the sugar to 1/3 cup as we like sweeter muffins and added 1/2 cup blueberries to 1/2 the batter and 1/2 cup chocolate chips to the other half. Also added a streusal topping. Very good.

Creamy Rice Pudding

I have tried many times to make rice pudding and it never comes out. This was excellent. I did add a bit more vanilla. It reminds me of tapioca pudding but with rice instead.

These muffins were great. I quartered the recipe and used 1 container of greek yogurt in place of the sour cream because I had to use it up. Very good!
