Green Chile Chicken Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2014
I think I would have given this more of a 4.5 score. It was really good. I used 1 jalapeno instead of the habanero peppers. Too spicy for the kids to eat but my husband and I really enjoyed it.

Cheesecake Supreme

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2013
This recipes was good but the bake time needs to be adjusted as the center was underdone. I baked at 400 degrees for 15 minutes and then lowered to 200 and baked for 55 minutes more. I have another cheesecake recipe which is almost the same except for the amount of whipping cream and it bakes it at 475 for 15 minutes and 250 for the remaining 45. The texture of this cheesecake is a lot drier so perhaps somewhere between the two would be perfect.

Jambalasta

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2013
Very good. I made some changes to use what I had on hand but we really enjoyed it. It was a little sweet, I'm not sure you need the whole 1 tbsp of sugar. I added peppers to it.

This came out good. I wouldn't say it was "knock your socks off" but it was good and turned out well.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2012
Very good. I used cornstarch in place of flour and only use 1/8 cup of water. I poured most over the apples and then brushed the last little bit on top. I also added 3 tbsp tapioca and mixed with the apples. It was not runny at all.

Strawberry Marmalade

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2012
This was excellent. I didn't have any trouble with it at all. I added the strawberries and then measured 4 cups (I think I saw that question in one of the reviews). Mine set up beautifully.

Fruit 'n' Spinach Salad

Reviewed: May 14, 2012
Excellent. I didn't have a star fruit. I used orange peel instead of lemon and squeezed the juice from the orange.

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2012
This was ok but not sure I would make again. It lacked a little flavor. It needed something. But it did turn out well.

Creamy Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2012
This was good. A nice change of pace from the typical hershey's chocolate syrup. I doubled the recipe and used one jar of smucker's hot fudge topping. I used it to decorate with and it was easy to work with.

Hot Cross Buns I

These came out good. The were so light and fluffy. I think I would have liked them a little sweeter, but that is just my preference to sweet breads.

These were a really good rich brownie. I did not use the honey and just added milk to thin out. Will make again!

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2012
This was good. The only problem I had is that the flour sunk to the bottom. I'm not sure if it was because I didn't mix it well enough or not. But the taste was good. I added a little maple extract to it and used the french bread recipe from this site.

These muffins were great. I quartered the recipe and used 1 container of greek yogurt in place of the sour cream because I had to use it up. Very good!
