Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2006
This recipe was easy to make and tasted fantastic. I used honey mustard and the regular french fried onions (not cheddar). Also, I used chicken breast cutlets and baked for 45 min at 375 degrees. I served it with green beans and sweet potatoes and it was a big hit!

Chocolate Pretzels

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2006
This recipe is quick and painless. The results are an addicting treat that taste great. I have made these for years and often give them as hostess gifts when visiting around the holidays. Store them in glass jars and tie a bow around for a last minute present!

Chewy Coconut Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2006
These turned out just like the picture! I was a bit skeptical when I saw the consistency of the dough, but this recipe works great just as written. I served them with vanilla icecream for dessert, and gave the rest away as gifts. Yummy!

Peanut Butter Chicken Skewers

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2007
This was quite flavorful and easy to make. I had only had peanut sauce in a restaurant before but this really tasted authentic. I used chicken tenders and didn't even bother with the skewers. Instead of grilling I simply cooked them in a non-stick pan while basting with the sauce. All in all, it came out great - I would definitely make it again!

Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2007
I made this using 8 oz filets so I cooked them for 8 minutes on each side, rather than 4. They came out medium to medium well, which is exactly what I was looking for. The filets were tasty enough on their own to not need the dipping sauce. What an easy way to make a very elegant meal!

Black Bean Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2007
This recipe was great, although the measurements seemed a bit off to me. I only used 4 tortillas with all of the bean filling. I think adding corn to this would make it fantastic. Shredded chicken might be good too.

Turkey and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2007
Like the other reviewers mentioned, this took longer to make and required the measurements to be adjusted. I used more than double the amount of hashbrowns, and could have used another 1/2 pound or so of ground turkey. I also thought the onion was overpowering...maybe 1/2 of a large onion would have been better. When it came out of the oven and we served ourselves in our plates, it did not look all that appetizing (kind of like a "mush") but the taste was actually quite good.

Black Bean Tortilla Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2007
I added corn to this and did not include olives, since I don't care for them. It came out pretty good, just a little mushy. I think I prefer the mexican casseroles with crunchy tortilla chips instead.

Slow Cooker Sweet and Tangy Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2007
Very tasty and easy dish. I cut the chicken breasts into bite size pieces and served over brown rice. This was good left-over as well.

Rosemary Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: May 14, 2007
Overall this was pretty good and I would make it again. Next time I would use less balsamic as it was a bit overwhelming and the meatloaf itself was quite moist. This was even better left-over the next day.

Tangy Barbecue Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2007
Wow, this was great! I was out of BBQ sauce and didn't feel like going to the store so I turned to this recipe. I'll make this all the time now! I like that as opposed to bottled sauce, you can make up just the amount you need fresh each time you grill! Thanks for the recipe!

Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2007
I added tomato paste and cooked on low just 7 hours as some other reviewers recommended, and this came out great. Also, since my fiance is allergic to mushrooms, I used red peppers instead. Served over angel hair pasta with garlic bread...this was easy and tasty!! Thanks for the recipe!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2007
This came out really good. I used fresh (not frozen) chicken breasts and cooked on low for about 4.5 hours. Chicken was cooked perfect, and sauce was great. Thanks!

Easy Cheap and Yummy Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2007
This was just OK. I used one pack of hotdogs instead of two, but otherwise followed the directions. Probably would just have hot dogs and beans instead of making this again.

Artichoke and Chickpea Stew

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2007
I made this pretty much how it was written and it came out great. All I did different was double the lemon juice like the other reviewers mentioned. Great recipe! Thanks!

Honey Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2007
Great flavor...tasted authentic to me! I used country style ribs, and omitted the water, but otherwise followed the recipe and cooked on low all day. The next day I shredded the left-overs and added a little more bbq sauce for sandwiches...even better!!

Easy Chicken Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2007
I used 2 cans cream of chicken soup, 1 can cream of celery soup, and an extra 1/2 cup of milk. Also, I added frozen broccoli and fresh carrot pieces. The 90 plus 15 minute cook time worked great, and it came out nice and moist. As some of other viewers suggested, I did add a pack of onion soup mix. Would definitely make this again!

Grandma's Raspberry Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2007
These came out great except I made a few changes. I added another 2 tablespoons of softened butter to the topping because it seemed dry. I substituted chopped almonds for walnuts. Also, I realized I didn't have any plain oats, so I used apple/cinnamon flavored oats instead...it turned out great! Would definitely make these again!

Baked Honey Nut Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2007
I used boneless chicken breasts and crushed almonds for this recipe. Only took 35 minutes to cook in a 375 degree oven. I will continue to try variations on this recipe. Might be good with a dipping sauce as the coating is a bit dry.
