Muffin Morning Makers

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2013
I have made several batches, using this recipe as a rough guide. The best suggestion I have is for the eggs.....Whisk your eggs, milk, spices together, then pour into a sprayed 9x13 pan. I used 12 eggs to make 12 sandwiches. Bake at 375 for about 15 minutes, or until set. Cut into squares.

Fish Tacos Ultimo

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2013
LOVED IT! The first time I made this, I pan fried the fish. Tonight, I baked it on a cookie sheet at 400 while I warmed up the tortillas. When the fish was done, I chopped it up and mixed it all together on the cookie sheet. That way it soaked up all the juices and spices. The grill sounds good, I'm just not confident that all the fish wouldn't fall through the grates!

Delectable Marinated Chicken

Reviewed: May 9, 2013
This really was Delectable! By far the best grilled chicken I have ever made! I did not use any sesame, only because I forgot I finished the bottle a few weeks ago. I used boneless skinless breasts, and grilled them on a piece of foil. Perfectly juicy & tender, which is a first for me!

Slow Cooker Oats

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2011
How funny! I found a recipe almost exactly like this last night, and threw it in the crockpot before bed. I'm eating it right now. The one I used is part apple juice and part water, and no raisins. Everything else is exactly the same. Its really good!

Kielbasa Alfredo

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2011
This was really good! Could be on the menu at Olive Garden! I added some onions & mushrooms while the sausage was cooking. Rinsed the alfredo jar with about 1/2 cup of white wine. Simmered all that together while the bow ties finished cooking. Family loved it!

Chicken Parmigiana

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2011
This was AMAZING! I did one thing to simplify the cooking process (I wont call it changing the recipe though!!) I breaded & baked the chicken last night. Tonight, I threw the chicken in the microwave for a few minutes -just enough to take the chill off- while I doctored up the sauce in my 9x13 pan. Baked as directed in the 2nd step while the pasta cooked. This is my new "Where have you been all my life??" recipe!

AMAZING! I made 2 batches tonight, 1 steak & 1 chicken. Used the frozen pepper & onion blend to cut back on cost. I seriously think I could eat this every day.

Sarge's EZ Pulled Pork BBQ

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2010
The possibilities for this are endless! After picking the meat apart, I leave it plain. When we want BBQ sandwiches, we just drizzle BBQ sauce over the top. Ive added taco seasoning to make tacos (daughters FAVORITE). Tonight I made BBQ pizza with it. Even my picky husband loves it!

Perfect Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
Just a quick tip on how to brine a turkey, especially when your fridge is full of other holiday goodies! Ive done it this way for a few years now, and it works great. Instead of soaking in the stock pot overnight, I put the turkey & brine mixture in a oven bag, squeeze out the air, and tie it shut. Put the bagged turkey in a cooler with ice overnight.

Cranberry Orange Loaf

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2008
I have no idea how I screwed this up....Normally I'm a pretty good cook, but this was awful. I made 2 batches, and both of them failed. I baked all of them in mini loaf pans, and every one of them collapsed in the middle right after taking them from the oven. The batter had good flavor, but thats it. Sorry!

Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2008
My comment isnt on this recipe in particular, just a tip on brining in general. Last year I brined for both Thanksgiving and Christmas, it they were the best birds Ive ever had. My tip is this.....place bird in an oven roasting bag with brine ingredients, then place in a cooler with ice. Slosh the bag around several times during the marinating process. This clears up MUCH needed refrigerator space during the crunch time before cooking!

Wine Jelly

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2008
I have officially died and gone to heaven. I have been wanting to make this for several weeks, and I could kick myself for waiting for so long! Used a VERY cheap Blackberry Merlot (on sale for 3.88 with tax). I'm excited to see what other flavors I can come up with! This doesnt taste wine-y at all. Just nice and fruity!
