Cheesy Potato Kugel

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2006
I absolutley love this dish. I've made it a few times and it just seems like it gets better and better. I tried making it with hash browns instead. You know how long it takes to shred 3 lbs of potatoes? Expanding? Not an option. It just doesn't taste the same. Something in the hash browns. Very good though. To make mixing a little easier, I put all my ingredients in a bowl with a lid and shook it like crazy. Mixed so much easier.

Homesteader Cornbread

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2012
I loved this recipe. After making it as directed the first time, the only thing I changed the second was added about a 1/2 cup or so of honey. Gave it more flavor, in my opinion. Other than adding the honey, I wouldn't make any changes to the recipe.

Arkansas Green Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2012
After the first holiday dinner I brought this dish to, I was told that I couldn't attend another dinner without bringing the green beans with me. There's never any left over. I was a little leary with the soy sauce since I'm not a fan and I can't stand canned green beans but these are the best beans I've ever eaten. I will continue to make from here on out!

Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2011
Amazing! I left out the things I didn't like and it came out so good! I bought extra ingredients to double the recipe but it wasn't needed. I still had half the pot left!

Baked Ham with Sweet Glaze

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2012
When my son said he wanted ham for his 5th birthday dinner, I freaked out. I had never made a ham a day in my life. My mom suggested buying the already cooked ham cubes and mixing it in with mac and cheese. I was bound and determined to make him a ham with all the fixins. This one was the first one I came across that looked good to me so I tried it. I followed the directions to a tee. The only thing I did differently was placed the ham directly in the pan (no rack as I didn't have one) with the water right in it like stated. Three hours later, it was dinner time and I was stressing. I had no back up plan and my whole family was hungry. This was the most amazing ham I had ever eaten in all of my existance. I had so many compliments. Thank you so much for posting this. This recipe is so fool-proof, its unreal. I felt no need to make any changes to the recipe. I will definitely make this again. Who knows, maybe I'll confidently take on Easter dinner this year. Thanks again!

So freakin' good! I make these at least once a month. I can never eat pumpkin pancakes again without this nutmeg whipped cream. It's absolutely to die for!

Came out a little on the thick side for me the first time. Added a little more milk the next and came out perfect for my liking.

Pumpkin Cookies II

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2006
This recipe sounded real good on paper. Once I started mixing the ingredients together, I became a little skepitcal but once I baked them and tried them, oh my gosh!!! They instantly became one of my favorite cookies! I did tweak it just a little. I used 1 teaspoon of cinnimon instead of /1/2 teaspoon and I used about a cup and a half of pumpkin instead of a single cup. I liked how they turned out. Another thing, use just a teaspoon full of mixture on the cookie sheet to ensure the cookies are fully done at the 12 minutes and I liked how they tasted when they were just outta the oven versus letting them sit a while then eating them. I haven't yet tried how they are when re-heated. Hope everyone enjoys them as much as I did.
