About this Cook
Im currently a college student. I really would like to be a elementary school teacher, and would really enjoy learning how to cook a wide variety of dishes from other countries.
My favorite things to cook
Anything that has rice and fresh veggies,I'm currently in love with Asian style dishes. Dessert is also my fav. to cook
My favorite family cooking traditions
There are only a couple in my family, but both are holiday recipes (Christmas), maybe I'll post them sometime...
My cooking triumphs
I love coming home from work and my fridge is almost empty. I have to say that im good at throwing things together.

Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken
The sauce I didn't think have a real BBQ flavor. I ended up adding almost a bottle of Head Country BBQ sauce. The one thing i did like is how it gave it spice. I would make it again, it was still delicious.

Creamy Rice Pudding
Wonderful recipe. I used 1 cup of rice and added about 2 tablespoons of butter when boiling the water. I used about 1/2 cup more milk. The only tricky part was adding the egg. I tried to get some of the warm mixture and mix that with the egg first, then combined. I ended up with a couple little pieces of egg, that i just picked out. I added about a teaspoon or 2 of vanilla and cinnamon and also used some brown sugar. I also used long grain rice because I couldn't find medium. It is fantastic and will defiantly make it again

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust
I let it rise for a couple hours then put it in the fridge. Next day I pulled it out and let it sit on the counter till room temp. I added some Italian spices and next time I will add more salt. It was the best dough I've ever made!
