Danny's Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2014
Delicious although a bit salty & I did not add any additional salt to the recipe. Next time I may try lower sodium cheddar. Also, maybe mix in some sausage. Definitely good comfort food:)

Winter Leek and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2014
Tried this recipe yesterday & it really was good. I used fresh garlic rather than powder & red potatoes, which I didn't peel. It could have used a little more salt but I go light on it anyway. Even my 17 year old who likes nothing had 2 bowls. The only thing I may change next time is I may add bacon to it. I think it would taste awesome!

Ginny's Cheezy Macaroni

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2011
This was very good & very easy, my young daughter made if for dinner. Only thing we changed was we didn't have enough cheddar so added parm to supplement. Also topped it off with 1 c breadcrumbs about 1/2 before it was done. Very tasty!!!!

Super Duper Bean Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2009
This was absolutely delicious!!!! I couldn't find garbanzo beans so I used a can of corn. Also cut back alittle on the onion and the sugar. Hopefully it will last until the party I made it for!!!

Sweet Potato and Apple Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2007
I made this recipe for Thanksgiving dinner and it did come out great. There was barely any left. My only recomendation is to take special notice of the two listings for brown sugar. I didn't realize the 2nd listing was for the topping and almost messed the whole batch up. Whew!

Scott's Savory BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2007
I found this sauce to be mediocre at best. All I could taste was ketchup so I added slightly more worcestershire. I didn't help that much. I will not make this sauce again.

Mango Salsa

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2007
This is fabulous! I tried it on fish as suggested but it was cold on hot fish so it was just OK. However, as a dip with blue tortilla chips, there's none better!!! Have already made twice and plan to make m ore tomorrow!

Peanut Butter and Chocolate Cake II

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2007
Although I think this cake and frosting were great, it was a bit rich. I was hesitant to add oil to the peanut butter and in hindsight I don't think it was needed at all (in fact, it really didn't even need the peanut butter to be delicious!) I would make again but definately would leave the oil out of the PB. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

Dark Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2007
This cake tasted good, but I didn't like the texture. I followed the directions as given but the cake came out very dense and heavy. I used a choc cream cheese frosting from this site which was great, but just wish the cake had been a little lighter in texture. Not sure if I will make it again, but I am glad I tried it.

Chocolate Espresso Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2006
I just finished making these and it's a really good recipe! The only thing I did different was I didn't have baker's choc and used cocoa powder instead. Also used pecans, not walnuts. Terrific!!!

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2006
Excellent frosting. I used it on a carrot cake from this site. I cut the recipe in half and still had plenty to frost a delicious carrot cake. This site is the best!!!! Thanks for sharing.

Best Carrot Cake Ever

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2006
Excellent! I substituted 1/2 c sugar with Splenda and 1/2 c applesauce for 1/2 c oil. I also forgot the raisins:( Cake came out great anyway and I had LOTS of compliments! Thanks Nan!

Pecan Sour Cream Pound Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2006
I have made this cake MANY times & love it! A couple of changes I do is I chop the pecans & throw them right into the mix. I tried pouring them over as recipe states once but it seemed didn't like the way it looked when finished. Also, I bake at 325 for 1 hour & it is usually perfect in my bundt pan.
