Sarah's Applesauce

Great stuff. Kind of hard to review since it really depends on the apples you use but I prefer this recipe for the tart apples. I lower the sugar for the sweeter apples. Great for Granny smith, jonagolds or crispins.

Taco Seasoning I

Tastes great. I didn't think it would make a difference but you can definitely taste that this is not from a packet. I use it all of the time, easy way to get away from all of that pre made stuff. I always keep three recipes worth. I don't put any pepper in there though since my kids are sensitive to heat.

Kids love it, they come out fluffy and moist. I can't really ask for more. Didn't change a thing.

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2010
I have tried many recipes for pretzels but all come out dry and tasting like white bread (like the ones you get at Target and other stores). I was completely surprised to find out that these actually do taste like the mall pretzels. These were soft, chewy an actually tasted like mall pretzels. Kudos on an awesome recipe.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
I've been looking for a mix that I can keep on hand and scoop out when needed. This is it. Make 4x the amount, store in a container and you have the equivalent (but better) of boxed mix. Just add milk, egg and butter.

Amazingly Good Eggnog

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2008
This is the best Egg Nog recipe I have found yet. The best prep method too, most other ones I've tried mixed the milk and egg to start which made it twice as hard to not heat it too quickly. It was a little sweet for my taste so I might drop a third of the sugar next time. Going by the recipe this is some great stuff.

Southern Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2008
This was the greatest Mushroom soup I've ever had. I made it to put in a "gourmet" tuna casserole. It was so good I almost didn't want to put it in the casserole just so I could eat it by itself. I ended up cutting just a little out of the casserole so I could enjoy the soup in it's entirety.

Texas Pork Ribs

Best Ribs I've ever made!!! This was delicious, only thing is I didn't have time to make the gravy. Meat fell off the bone and was deliciously dry to the touch on the outside but juicy, juicy, juicy on the inside.

Chicken Pot Pie I

This recipe was a little dry. I might recommend adding an extra can of soup, I used cream of cheddar. Otherwise, this recipe was so easy and great tasting. This will be on our menu again.

I used balsalmic vinegar since I didn't have any sherry. The dish was pretty good. I have made it a few times since.

Mom's Best Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2008
This is one of the best/easiest brittle recipes I've tried. I only changed it by adding 1/4 to 1/2 Tsp of Cayanne pepper because I like some kick. I used 1/4 for the batches I gave out to family and 1/2 for my own. They all loved it.

Jim's Macaroni Salad

This Recipe was great. I've been using the same one for a long time because I couldn't find another good one but this one sure fit the bill. I added some Cucumbers and Celery for an extra crunch. Finally I can switch out my salad recipes every now and then.

Amish Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2006
OK, I did some changing to this. After starting I found out I didn't have egg noodles or a casserole dish. So, I cooked the hamburger with onions, italian seasoning, garlic, and red pepper shavings, one can of diced tomatoes drained, and about 2 cups of peas. I cooked elbows, added the chicken soup but instead of the oven I simmered all of the hamburger ingredients and then put the noodles on top covered and simmered medium heat with cheese slices on top for about 10 minutes. It was awesome. Whew hope you got all that. Sorry, I forgot to mention, I did all of this stuff listed in addition to the regular recipe.
