Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: May 9, 2009
This was indeed the best banana bread EVER! I used a few of the suggestions...room temp butter, used mixer for butter and sugar, mashed up bananas, and added cinnamon. YUMO!I will make again next week!

French Dip Sandwiches

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2008
These were amazing. Couldn't wait to eat the leftovers for lunch the next day! I actually got a recipe from a friend of just the meat in the crockpot with a marinade of beef broth and Lipton Onion Soup Mix. I used that but per this recipe added some soy sauce to the marinade and before putting the meat in the crockpot, I rubbed it with S&P, garlic, and rosemary. We currently live in Paris so we got fresh baguettes and dipped away...DELISH!

This was excellent! We used Ricotta instead of sour cream and put sauce on the bottom of the pan. We also browned the meat with garlic and Mrs. Dash seasonings. Will certainly make again! Thank you!

I thought this was fantastic and I am not a huge biscuit and gravy fan! I did double the flour and milk but kept everything else the same.

Oatmeal Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2008
Was skeptical but thought it was pretty darn good! Hubby liked it too. Followed the recipe but didn't add cumin since I didn't have. I also put some lemon juice on top before baking as someone suggested. I live in Paris right now and this is one recipe I can get all the ingredients there!

Made these yesterday for the 4th and they were fantastic..and so easy! It was the first time I'd ever made ribs before. Followed the advice of others and after boiling let them sit in the water for an hour or so. Used Sweet Baby Ray's sauce. Can't wait to make again! Thank you!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2008
I thought this was really good! I made similar changes that the others did. I used 1 can cream of celery and 1 can cream of chicken. I used low sodium chicken broth instead of water. Added some Lawry's seasoned salt. I was nervous before the biscuits were dropped in as it was really watery but it was deliscious!! Thanks!

These were pretty good! I did add the extra lemon yogurt and decreased the amount of poppyseeds. I thought they could hve used a bit more lemon flavor, but they were still good and everyone liked them. will make again! Thank you for the recipe!

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2007
Okay, this rocked! First time I've ever made homemade joe's and I won't use canned ever again. I did use 1.5 lbs. ground beef, did 3/4 cup bbq sauce and 3/4 cup ketchup. Added 2 tsp. of cider vinegar, and some chili powder. I used dry onion flakes and garlic powder (I don't like chunks in my joes). Chopped up a bit of green pepper very small. Did not add mustard. After simmering for 30 minutes in the skillet, I put it in the crockpot on low/keep warm for a few hours. YUM! Hubby loved it too! Thanks!

Raspberry Vinaigrette Dressing

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2006
I love this dressing! My husband and I eat it all the time. I use extra virgin olilve oil, and use the correct amount of sugar (maybe a bit more). I made it for my mom and it is her favorite dressing. We like to eat it on baby spinich leaves, with crushed blue cheese and pecans on top! Thank You!

Cola Pork Chops

As a newly married woman (who doesn't cook much--and married my High School Home Ec teachers son :-)I made this last night and it was wonderful. My very picky husband really liked it too! The flavor was great. I did add some fresh garlic to the mix and sprinkled a bit of onion soup mix on the top before baking. We will eat this again! Thanks!
