Tender Italian Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2013
Super fast and tasty with added seasoning! Here in Texas, we like things extra seasoned, so Tony Chachere is a staple. Added it to the mayo mix and bread crumbs. Only had plain bread crumbs - worked just fine. Used my Pampered Chef stone - I think it helped from the bottom being soggy. Big hit with my boys that usually don't finish anything!

Basic Sugar Cookies - Tried and True Since 1960

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2013
I followed the directions and they taste salty. I kept thinking I did something wrong, but I know I didn't. I truly do not prefer sweet sugar cookies, I prefer tea cakes over sugary cookies. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because they baked pretty. I am sorry for a bad review, but I don't want someone else to make these not knowing to add more sugar. If you make these, add the 2 cups of sugar as in the author's suggestions.

Slow Cooker Tipsy Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2012
Delicious and super easy. I used a white zinfandel and did not use the olives. Kids and hubby all said it was a hit - and was in the crock pot in 5 minutes. Can't beat it!

Mushroom Sauce Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2012
This was a hit with everyone. Very tasty, super easy. I did cook longer than suggested - I had super thick chops. 45 minutes covered, 50 uncovered.

Chili Dog Casserole II

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2012
This was great - kids loved it. Used turkey dogs and low-fat chili. We are not terribly health-conscious, but this was Delicious with just a few changes.

Southern Red Velvet Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2012
My son requested red velvet for his birthday. I searched several recipes and ran across this one. YUMMY!! We decorated with white chocolate shavings. Everything was delicious - cake was moist, icing was not your typical sweet-icky. Will definitely make this again!

Mushion Pork

This is really good. Nothing spectacular, but easy enough that my husband could make it with little direction. Very tasty, tender - will make it again

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2011
I really wanted to like these, but there were a couple of things I didn't like. They expand way too much, the surface "crackled" in appearance, and they were a little cake-y. There are better recipes out there in my opinion.

15-Minute Herbed Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2011
Have made this twice since I found the recipe. I do cut up the chicken and cook longer than suggested to make sure it is cooked thoroughly, as others suggested. I do sprinkle the chicken with Tony Chachere's - everything is better with Tony's! I also just use whichever soup I have on hand - just about anything would work.

Grilled Chicken Adobo

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2011
We loved this!! Trimmed off all the fat, halved the soy sauce, and did not grill. Was wonderful, will make again.

Royal Icing I

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2010
This is great! We used 3 egg whites, 4 cups confectioner's sugar and 1 tsp vanilla. We piped it to decorate gingerbread men and sugar cookies. Will DEFINATELY be using this again and again!

Slow Cooker Chicken Continental

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2010
This was WAAAYYY too salty. I have NEVER made something that we couldn't salvage - have also never made anything on this website that I was so dissappointed in. I tell all of my friends about this website - and I wasted good chicken breasts on this. We followed the directions perfectly, waited all day, then ended up eating left-overs and canned soup for dinner. PLEASE skip this and find something else to make for your family....

Round Steak and Gravy II

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2010
Definitely a keeper! I used a thick cut, so cut in large cubes and increased oven time. I seasoned it, sprinkled a little flour, then seared it in a little oil in a pan. I ended up cooking for about 4 hours in a covered baker - very tender. Gravy was great!

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2009
This was very good - even with changes. I followed other reviewers advice and also used a can of golden mushroom. I inadvertantly mixed up 2 recipes (garlic mashed potatoes) and threw in 2 heaping tablespoons of minced garlic - still excellent if you like garlic! I also followed the advice of not adding the gravy. I left it in the saucepan to drizzle afterwards on chops and potatoes. Will definitely make this again.

Skillet Enchiladas

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2009
This was a hit! I cooked it in the oven instead of stovetop. I layered starting with liquid then torillas so there was no sticking. Will definitely be making this again.

Slow Cooker Spaghetti Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2009
The whole family loved it! I did not make it in the crock pot. I boiled chicken, took it out and boiled pasta in the same pot. I didn't want to wash more than one dish. I used cream of celery and cream of mushroom soup. This was easy and will definitely be making again.

I doubled the crust (I think that's the best part:) I also used pistachio pudding instead of chocolate. It was a huge hit!! First dessert to be gone on the table!!

Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2009
These are awesome! I make them without the green onions and they are just as good. I also cook the bacon a little in the microwave before cooking. I prefer some of the grease to be on paper towels than on my mushrooms:)

Cheesy Chili Dip I

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2009
This is so much better than typical velveeta and rotel! I did make a couple of changes. I did not add the pork (wasn't missed at all). I did add a cup of salsa (as suggested in another review). We loved it! Will make it again
