Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie II

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2006
It was a HUGE hit with our friends and family! In fact, I doubled the recipe and made 2 pies as my 3rd grader is taking one to school today for "Pie Day". I used a chocolate crust... and I topped the pies with crushed peanut butter M&Ms. Yum! SUPER easy recipe too!

Cabbage Beef Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2006
My family- including the 8 and 6 year olds- eats anything. Artichokes, saurkraut, no problem. We love new flavors. But it's a few minutes before suppertime, and I'm scrambling to make peanut butter and jelly for supper. This is the first time that I've made an allrecipes.com recipe that was just straight up TERRIBLE!! I checked and double checked the recipe, and I did it right... it just doesn't taste good.

Wow... Super, SUPER moist and great flavor! I just made 3 loaves for our out-of-town holiday guests. It's the perfect tropical, Florida treat for our Colorado friends!

All Day Apple Butter

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2006
So, I admit... I don't know what I'm doing. I'm new to the whole canning thing, and really, REALLY wanted to make this recipe to give as gifts (I'm pregnant and nesting). The apple corer/slicer/peeler is a must. But in leu of a food processor, I put my apples in my juicer. Turned the apples into pulp, and added both the apples and the juice to my crockpot (can't get much smoother than that). I used really tart apples 'cause it really is a lot of sugar. Add an extra shake of cinnamon. And I let it cook all night, stirring it only when the baby kicked me awake to go to the potty. :) What a surprise this morning!! Mmmm... the jars are in my pressure cooker now (first time using that too). Hopefully, it'll vacuum those jars the way it's supposed to. The recipe made 11 1/2 pint jars for me. And I've asked for a food processor for Christmas. Awesome recipe!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2006
5 stars for ease! My family loved it! I added chopped carrots and corn to make it a full meal. The biscuits took much longer than 30 minutes. I threw them in about 3 hours before I served, and they were barely done. I think next time I'll stick with Bisquick or something... didn't really like the doughy texture of the dumplings. But other than that, it was GREAT!!
