Banana Cream Pie I
This was such a wonderful pie! The recipe was easy too! As others directed - I did not cook the pie, I used whole milk and cornstarch , rather than flour. I upped the vanilla to 1 Tablespoon. I topped it with cool whip. It was luscious and had great banana flavor! I made a homemade graham cracker crust. Next time I may try with a touch less vanilla and maybe add banana extract. It didn' need it though!

I made this for a chili/soup cookoff at work. Not only did I not win, but mine had the most left uneaten. I was pretty happy at first - it's a little different with the different meats in it. I liked it though - until I added the choclate. I only added 1/2 of what was recommended. To me, it ruined it. If you like Mole sauce, you may really enjoy it. I may try again without the chocolate.

Slow Cooker Carnitas
I made this today and it was awesome. I took everyones advice and tripled the spices except the cinnamon. I also coated the meat with the spice mixture the night before. I put in the crock pot for 10 hours and thats it. The only thing I wish I could have done was turn it. I was at work all day so I couldn't do it after 5 hours as advised. Fortunately it was still very moist. I think I wont use so much chicken broth next time. It was really much better than I expected! Not spicy (hot) at all - which I am fine with. It's just an FYI if people are wondering.
