Spinach and Blue Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2008
This was a tasty soup. Just to make it easier, I did not puree it and completely omitted the cream, and it was just as good.

Easy Apple Coleslaw

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2008
A tasty different take on coleslaw. Try this one on kids that don't like traditional slaw, it's mild and sweet.

Hot Tortellini Salad

Reviewed: May 18, 2008
Quick, easy, delicious AND kid-friendly? That's why I gave it 5 stars. My daughter's not a big fan of ham, so I dice slami in hers instead.

French Onion Soup XI

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2007
This recipe's definately a keeper. The taste is wonderful, I also added a splash of Worchestershire, presentation is also key here. Spend the extra to buy the soup crocks and you'll feel like you're eating in a fancy restuarant every time you make this wonderful soup.

Cinnamon Hazelnut Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2007
I loved this recipe! This was my first time making biscotti and they came out perfect. I drizzled them with white chocolate and gave them out as gifts this Christmas. Everyone loved them. To think what people spend on these at Star"bucks" when you can have these fresh at home in about an hour.

Very simple recipe. Didn't come out dense at all like some other recipes.

Golden Yam Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2007
I think a lot of people are making unecessary work for themselves by baking the yams first. There is no need! Peel and finely grate the raw yams, then add as recipe states. I also omitted the glaze and opted for a light whipped cream topping. It was a big hit at my husband's office!

Sauerkraut Balls

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2007
Ok, you know a recipe has to be good when unsuspecting and picky 4 year olds gobble them up. They had no idea they were eating sauerkraut and I'm not tellin'. Great use for leftover ham and wonderful with a good German beer.

This was a nice change of pace especially when sweet corn is so plentiful in the summer.

A good way to make corned beef differently. I'll make this one again.

Pirates' Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2007
Next time, I'll make this in the crock pot. The whole family liked the flavor, even the kids, but pork was a bit dry. I also used golden raisins instead of regular as I figured they would blend in better with the sauce and not "freak out" my finicky children. It worked!

Quick Mediterranean Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2007
Not only was this dish delicious, but it's sooooo easy to prepare are caveman could it. Frying the frozen breasts was fine, so long as you don't crowd the frypan. I also used the italian dressing and I happened to have a jar of artichokes on hand so I drained and threw them in too. The artichokes added another nice dimension to the dish.
