I am 29 years old and I absolutely LOVE to cook! My latest passion has been baking bread. I started doing it to save money, but love the taste and smell of fresh baked bread so I just kept doing it. I'm always looking for the perfect recipe!
My favorite things to cook
yeast breads (especially cinnamon rolls!), home-style dishes, breakfast foods, casseroles, quick and easy recipes, chili, crock pot recipes, Mexican and Italian dishes and snacks!
My cooking triumphs
I have created and adapted so many recipes over time. I love to take recipes and "tweak" them to my family's taste and simplify recipes. I use a lot of pantry ingredients and everyday items. I also make some "mean" cinnamon rolls!
My cooking tragedies
I made a home-made mac and cheese recipe once and boiled the cheese in the white sauce and it separated into an oily, grainy mess! Nasty! Never boil your cheese sauce!

Neat Sloppy Joes
This was just ok (it was eaten by all but nobody LOVED it), I hate to admit it but I prefer the "Campbells Souper Sloppy Joes". I think that recipe has a bit more flavor and it is much simpler to prepare (I love to cook, but sometimes simple is better).

Authentic Cincinnati Chili
I'm sorry, I don't usually give negative reviews but we just didn't care for this. I guess I'm used to the spicy chili with beans we make here in the mid-west. The cinnamon especially tasted strange to us in a chili. I liked the method for cooking the beef and skimming the fat and I plan to use that in my chili recipe from now on.

Green Chicken Enchilada
Loved it! Used the Las Palmas brand sauce and thought it was wonderful. Going to use this recipe for all my enchilada attempts!
